I'm tempted to install adblocker just for The Nexus, not because I don't want to support them (I would love to send some cash their way, actually), but because around half of the ads on their page are poorly implemented and cause my browser to crash.

alright so I'm doing my calculus homework and it's about U-substitution. I'm not entirely convinced that this isn't wizard magic.

It's not that I don't know how to do it. I just don't understand how it is mathematically correct. Why do you find the derivative of the interior function? Why does dx have to be a part of it? Isn't the dx just syntactic sugar to mention which variable you're deriving/integrating with respect to? What other things did I horribly, horribly misunderstand last term!?

Math help thread, but no, the dx portion actually matters in some stuff.

You find the derivative of the interior function because you need to have something of the form (...stuff involving u...)du to integrate with respect to u, and your du term needs to include dx.

Well maybe because i live in central europe i don't get to see the worse ads.
I swear the last time i saw a bad ad was like... 16 months ago on my uncles computer while downloading something.
(The ad in question was a loud obnoxious video that raped the CPU while advertising some pyramid scheme.)

Security here too. I don't enable them for specific sites either now because I personally experienced a site that I used serving malware through their ads - the site owners were apologetic, but that proved it was possible. Basically someone malicious bought an ad and then used it to distribute malware instead of advertising.

Wading through online articles and videos for a law assignment is a pain in the ass.

All the people with opinions rather than facts easily drown out any real credible sources. Appeal to Emotion is a credible arguing point. But I'm not a fan of it.

I still need one more video. To make things worse, the teacher removed our online instructions.
