I just got tired of youtube interrupting long videos (symphonies mostly, but a few other things too) partway through with some dumbass ad that's twice as loud as the video without warning or even a buffer of silence a lot of the time when I had it going in the background for something else.

Personally I hate wikia, but a great many people seem to feel the need to make wikis with its shitty setup, so if I'm looking for information on certain items, wikia is where I end up.

It is long, it is thick, it really likes to mysteriously crawl on top of my face while we sleep, and it may or not be an avatar of yog sothot.
IE it just somehow gets into my mouth, which is weird, considering I don't snore or even sleep with my mouth open :v

It also ocasionaly stabs me in the eyes, but its a small price to pay, all things considered :v

Except the hair is mine of course.  I keep it tied up in a ponytail to prevent most of that, but mostly just when I'm outside.  At home it runs freeeee~

Reminds me of when I played Runescape (after...that PvP thing in the wilderness back in the 2000's). There were annoying adds that kept repeating/slowing down playrate.

And without dispensing knowledge on WHAT KIND OF ADs the website accepts, along with a total lack of knowing that, it's pretty much for personal safety at this point IMO (That, and some ads link to malicious sites and such <_< EVEN on an OK-and-not-bad-at-all site.)

@Caroline: My hair is pretty curly and does that too. If you take it in to the haircutters--make sure you get someone who has experience working with curly hair--they can cut it in such a way that it calms down and looks pretty (albeit possibly still poofy--mine sure does). No need to straighten it or have short hair.

Some people here are either wanting to curl their hair up or straighten them (if curly). Most part of this lies in the person you go to for haircuts or helping with your hair.
(Though also donating your hair after growing it long is a good idea!)

I use adblock to protest ads that I find reprehensible. Like Toyota or Mustang ads that claim you can't be happy if you can't afford three brand-new sports cars, or Old Spice ads that say you can only be a "real man" if you wear Old Spice, or any number of ads that lie and find psychological/social/emotional nooks and crannies to try and manipulate you into spending money.

That, and some websites work better without ads. Crunchyroll in particular runs ads that will break the video, so you have to refresh the page and watch more ads just to view the video.

I block ads by default and will consider unblocking on some sites that I think deserve it.

The only sites that deserve it as far as I'm concerned are those with no ads.

Or at least static ones that sit at the bottom and don't interrupt anything.
