Yeah, breaking into groups of friends can be a lot of difficulty. Honestly the best way I've found so far is group work, which everyone groans about, but serves as one of the best setups to introduce yourself to someone else. I don't know if you do this in your particular creative writing class, but if you do any sort of peer critiquing that could also probably be a good time to introduce yourself.

Generally the first break through is the hardest part, but once introductions are done you can interact a bit more. In a worst case you can always just interject on something before/after class and follow it up by introducing yourself. It's one of the absolute most awkward ways to break the wall that way, but once the wall is down you can comment and slowly regain that lost ground.

Yeah both of those are sort of not an option because the teacher is big on letting people keep their writing to themselves if they want... which is fine, obviously, just not for socializing a lot

And getting that first break through *is* really hard. If I have to do it the awkward way even moreso, because I don't have something as... urgent? as a crush driving me to do it. It's not that I don't know anybody there, it's just pretty hard to interact with them when the only other dude in the class is really good with girls. I feel like I have basically no space to breathe.

I cut out a chunk of ingrown nail from my big toe yesterday. It came out nice enough, but today it's swelling so hard I can barely walk. And of course, I'm stuck doing the task that requires me to move back and forth across the entire store carrying heavy loads.

Oddly, while that toe hurts like hell after easy clipping, cutting the ingrown nail from the other big toe bled a bunch but doesn't hurt at all today.
