Well, sure, the name isn't particularly auspicious, but that's what the test phase is for. Now that they begin to suspect it's consistently tricking them into killing innocent people, they're going to hold off until the next patch before giving it control of any nukes.

It's worse then that, the shitty algorithmic searching that Amazon used is actually trained in a sensible method and reliable data from it's hundreds of thousands of user examples. The CIA drone strike program is determining who to bomb off of maybe a dozen realistic examples at best, and then is tested on that very same data (which any AI writer will tell you is a perfect example of what not to do when teaching an AI). As such the Amazon algorithm is almost certainly many many times more likely to show you the right ads than the CIA program is to bomb the right people.
