I saw that too. I've seen it elsewhere, though, and in those cases it was being used as a parody type thing. Not an actual attempt to sell HD electricity :P

I think the general gist was "all electricity is the same, so why not buy ours!"

I mean if it's a really high (really high) current then yes, you could boil a kettle (not the water, I mean melt the kettle and boil the resulting liquid) in a few seconds.

No quoting, please...

On my 3.5 hour drive home I passed three cops who had pulled people over, was passed by two cops, and then there were three cops investigating my favorite convenience store near my home.  Fortunately my car's legal now, and I was carefully obeying the speed limit.

I get home and my [flipping] power's out
And this one *isn't* my fault, I checked my email.  I was on automatic drafts.  They just [mysteriously] ended for no reason.  So I get to try to do my job on laptop battery power, in literally freezing darkness, while I try to manage this family visit anxiety.

That's really what I [didn't actually] needed, since [my brother a shit] and [he's unfun at dnd].

Seriously though, they drafted for my power just fine the previous month... WTF?  No call, just a single email that looked like the normal draft messages.  Ugh.

It's weird, I don't feel angry at all anymore.  That's usually how it goes...  I only get mad over family, and the anger is generally hot and brief.  Particularly if I write it down.  I guess I'll go ahead and delete most of that rant...  Got pretty personal in there.  "My brother a shit" sums it up I think.

to be exact, the game appears to load these raws just fine

and then...

Nothing happens.

Nothing unusual loads into the game. The loading screen is filled with garbage. But nothing happens.

I was going to make a surreal horror DF mod, surreal maybe to the point of unplayability (thus the attempt at duping raws, which I am fully capable of handling the effects of where I want and fully enjoy the effects of where I don't bother), and have the raws be a continuing mass of utter madness, but DF's reaction is crazy (which is to say, sane) enough to put me off.

tbh i'd probably just have made the raws a mess of randomly generated stuff if I knew that wouldn't spam the hell out of the errorlog (which duped raws would, but having duped raws be the only error in the errorlog would be sufficiently spookier i think)

i would also have obfuscated any lua code I would've made

Nothing unusual happens. The game operates as normal. The creature doesn't even show up in the arena. It's loading, oh, I can tell, the loading screen is a hot mess, but nothing actually shows up.

Last time I accidentally duped raws, everyone wore clothes made of fat, had skin of cloth (silk, I think?), there were creatures with no bodies whatsoever, and everybody somehow had the ability to hide at will.
