Then the solution isn't less guns, but better gun training. :P
Therefore universal conscription.

A TSA Agent at the airport just dissed me.

"Why are you dressing down, man? You gotta impress the girls here!"

Thanks. First of all, I'm wearing a very nice outfit, I just have a huge sweater on over it because it's cold. Second, I'm not looking to impress any ladies, on account of the gay.

Who tries to pick up people at an airport anyway??
Okay I phrased that poorly.

I also ran into someone from one of my classes at the airport gate next to me. It's a small world D:

Literally no one. You wouldn't ever see them again?

Yeah, same flight and mile high club initiation comes to immediate thought. Also communication and whatnot's really easy these days, and there's not terrible odds that someone at the same stopover is either from near where you came from or are going, so... it's not the worst venue to pursue a relationship of varying lengthiness. Far from the best, but people can get really goddamn bored waiting for a flight.

I guess I technically can't disagree with that ;)

That might be a plus for some people, you know.

Well to be fair I have struck up conversations with people at airports for precisely that reason.  As practice kinda.  Nothing amorous though.

Also, while actually on a plane, I've only ever done a few minutes of polite chit-chat at the beginning and very end of the flight.  People shouldn't board a flight hoping to converse the whole way, that is what books are for.  Or laptops or portable consoles or going to sleep I don't care just don't expect me to talk much when I'm forced to be next to you and there's literally nowhere to go.

I think I left home in too much of a hurry. I went to work wearing mismatched shoes. I didn't notice until just after walking into work. Worse, the left one was actually a boot that I wore with cushions in it, but I moved the cushions to another pair. My left foot really hurts now.

We also had some ninja weapons donated. A pair of sai, a nunchaku, and one of those little hand scythe things, I forget the name of them. All were made of metal(the nunchaku was padded, but the chain was steel), though the scythe was not sharp, nor where the prongs of the sai. We could not legally sell them, so we tossed them in the garbage.

Wouldn't they be recyclable, at least?

I don't think we recycle metals, as far as I'm aware. Just cloth. But I don't really know what goes on in that part of the store, despite me being about 30 feet away most of the time.

In terminals, though, hoo boy yes. Everyone has something in common to gripe about: the shitty service of the airport and airlines. Nothing bonds strangers as quickly as being misdirected around and delayed by Newark's terrible fucking monorail line for two hours.
