I don't understand why hunting with full auto or at least burst fire never took off.

I assume full auto-ing would probably ruin the meat. Or something. I don't nor want to ever hunt.

But if I did I'd bring a minigun, or mayhap a Negev. Maybe dual berettas.

Wild guess, but I imagine the same reason M16s are locked to burst or single - auto is not very accurate, encourages spray-n-pray, would risk shooting someone in the face with a stray, and would spook the animal if you missed due to 1).

1. I made the conscious, reasoned decision to go to my job interview today wearing combat boots.

2. This actually worked quite well.

Did a nerf-war break out mid-interview? I'm now picturing you halfway through answering a question and then diving over the desk, tackling your interviewer to the ground and flipping the desk just as a spray of sticky-darts stick to it. Then you tear off your suit and you're wearing fatigues underneath with several chains of darts and somehow you have several full-auto nerf guns now as well.
Nothing you say or do can change my mind on this. This is what happened.

The idea of there being one prevalent moral code is not realistic. If there seems to be one it's because the winners write history and of course they're going to justify their own actions.

For example, slaves knew they were being wronged. How is it less arrogant to ignore their morals than those of slave owners?
Who said that one should consider the slave's owner's moral code when looking at the slave? The moral code we need to look at is that of the surroundings of the person in question, the moral code they were brought up with.
And recorded history doesn't come into it: It's not like we want to measure how moral slave #310 of emperor Vespasian was. The only places where we'll want to really apply this line of thought are with a) famous people (Cicero, Alexander, Caesar) whose upbringing and surroundings are fairly well-known, and b) people of today, like the aforementioned racist grandma, but also suicide bombers or Putin, where doing the research is possible as well.

I like how you compare Putin with suicide bombers.

But I'd like to interject that following a moral code does not necessarily make a person good, if said moral code is particularly evil.

Coincidence? Putin at least is undeniably still capable of seeing the results of his decisions.

I like how you compare Putin with suicide bombers.
I don't - they're just both examples for behaviour that clashes with the moral code prevalent here, but is acceptable under their own, namely Jihadism and Russian nationalism, respectively.

But what should we do when different moral codes clash? Who is the right one then?
