I went into the comments section of a Youtube video and someone actually talked another person down.

I assume with liberal amounts of verbal sparring and a massive nerd off?
I'm assuming the battle ended when the other person mentioned that he 100%ed Skyrim.

How does one 100% Skyrim? I assume you're joking, because that's literally impossible :P

No, actually.
The video in question.

[Assassin Creed: Unity]will be awesome. Commie.
Quote from: Person B
Hey now, no need for the derogatory there, friend. "Unity will be awesome" would've been enough. There's enough hate-spewing on Youtube as it is, and Gavin certainly doesn't need this kind of thing in the comment sections.

You're right, I'm sorry. I respect his political choice, misguided as I may assume it is.
Quote from: Person C
Are you truly reffering to communism here or socialism because neither are truly that bad
Quote from: Person A
Well I think socialism is a flawed system, and communism is a naive ideal. A nice idea, but it can't work. It relies to much on the willingness of mankind to work for the greater good, which probably won't happen as anytime I can see. And it puts to much power in the government, even though it's supposed to be the people that are ruling. There's not enough checks and balances.
Quote from: Person C
Exactly! It sounds good but just can't be enacted correctly

Err...I'm a bit confused but...isn't that even a possibility? :o
By that I mean...people agreeing in the comments and such.

Edit: That's a nice song :D

I've seen it quite a bit lately.
Far more commonly than most people (and indeed, the people posting in the discussions themselves) make it out to be.
Not to understate the amount of shit spewers there are, and I will not pretend for a second that I am not the least likely person to encounter those kinds of people.

Apparently, the fact that i'd rather know if som girl I dig had a dick at some point is... offensive? I dunno, I think that's kind of a selfish viewpoint, honestly, but what the fuck do I know.
I...
I don't think that that was what people were latching onto, or that they were singling you out specifically...

I think there should be a rule in the WTF/sad threads along the lines of "If a post about someone else on the forum would not be allowed in the rage thread, do not make that post here."

Hopefully I didn't come across as singling you out - I've seen people do it a lot in both threads.

Eh, it's good. I'm really surprised I didn't pick fights in the sad thread again, but that's more of a testament to the rapid-fire ninjas and the sleep deprivation than any restraint on my part.
