We got a new financial system at work at the start of April.  We got very little information on the system before it went live (and to be honest, after it went live) other than it was going to streamline everything, vastly reducing data input and saving us all lots of time (and by extension, saving our organisation lots of money). 

Today I learned that the part of my job that involves finance will see a 5000-10000% increase in workload under this new system.

That reminds me of what this old army bloke said whilst stationed in Germany during the cold war.
So they started swapping out papers for the better and new computer system. Before you had to do the paperwork and send it off, but they upgraded the system to where you had to find the right digital file, print it out, sign it, scan it, send it and fax it on unencrypted lines where Soviets can read everything. And that was an upgrade
History's gonna repeat itself whenever it comes to adopting newfangeld tech. Usually it gets worse before it gets better, but the Russians nowadays upgraded from computers to typewriters so maybe not always.

As far as I learned about US, their constitution allows seceding of the states via... guess what? Referendum.

Nope, the Constitution does not allow secession of states at all. And what's wrong with referendums?

By the way, as far as it looks like I don't know it very well, can someone gimme a link to download American constitution?

IIRC the Constitution doesn't say anything about secession. It's just that the Civil War kind of showed that it was probably not a good thing.

I'm pretty sure Canada lets its provinces secede via referendum. Didn't Quebec try to do that a few times?

Seems normal. Happens to me too, it's one of the reasons I dislike school so much. I have absolutely no problem with being alone, unless I'm being alone while surrounded by people.
