During a quiz today someone was texting their friends for answers, and they weren't subtle about it, but the teacher didn't do anything.

Afterwards, I was comparing answers with someone, and found that they couldn't even basic math.

The bus smelled like someone sharted during the ride. It didn't smell like that when I first got on.

Also, there's an assignment for one of my classes. We have to 'break a social norm', and write a paper about it and how others around me acted, but I don't really know what to do.

My recommendation would be saying something to the effect of "I have to break a social norm for homework!"

Then stare at them.

Greet everyone you come across and act like you've known them for a long time. Make sure to compliment them.
Hold the door for people really far away, and try to get them to hurry up through the door.
Get into an elevator, and make sure to face any wall but the door.
Go into a restaurant and try to eat on the floor instead of at a table. It says that you can bring picnic supplies for this one.
Stare at a random thing, it can be anything, and get as many people as you can to stare at it as well.
