I was just about to go to bed thinking "Better get some sleep it's about midnight I think."
I close my laptop lid, turn around to go go to bed, look at my clock... 00:00:00
Fucking amazing.
You know the most amazing thing with clocks? When you wake up and it's pitch-black out, you think it's like 6:30 and time to get up, and you check the clock and it's, like, 1:00 and you go back to sleep.

I think that's the best thing that can happen with clocks. And alarms that wake you up on Saturday at 8, then let you fall back to sleep. Sleep knowing that you don't have to get up is the best sleep.

I once got out of bed, got ready, and went to school, getting there exactly 2 hours early, at about 6. I was wondering why my mom was so confused.

Yes so much x_x

My sleep schedule is disoriented due to stacked subjects that I've to study late at night.
..And then I find myself collapsing at times due to fatigue that when I wake up I can only look at the window for light to discern the general time.

And then I look at my phone for the time.
2am > 2 hours of sleep. Yay :D
4am > 3 hours of sleep. Yay!
Stuff like that >_> <_< :/

Yeah, I also have those kind of dreams every once in a while... Last one, was some days ago.
The details are fuzzy now, but I remember it involved:
-Family plane trip.
-Guatemala.
-A storm of eternal darkness (basically Xantalos' Cloud Forme).
-My cousins.
-A troll living in my cousins' house.
-My mom and I driving a commercial-sized plane.
-Me trying to park the plane in a mall.
-A mystery.
-A party in which all I did was eat one snack and leave.
-Batman selling his soul to become young.
-Batman becoming a skeleton and exploding.
-My dad laughing at the last two.

We need a thread of 'Things that made you laugh today' just so I can put this in.

My friend and I shared a collective WTF when we looked up Civ V Brave New World and learned about the XCOM squad being in it.

I frequently have several-hour-long naps. Good for dreaming, those! :)

That dream was damn cool, too, Urist.

While we're on the subject... I've noticed my brain will not allow me to lucid dream. The moment I realized I was dreaming, it broke that dream and effortlessly segued to the next where I was telling a friend about the first dream. Very thoroughly, even. The worst part is this is far from the only time this has happened. God fucking damnit, brain.

It took all the fun from explaining the dream to said friend too, because I already did that once. Hngh.

I'm like that, only my brain panics and shuts down the dream as soon as I do something cool.

It's literally every time so that I either 'wake up' in a second dream or am suddenly telling the first dream THAT I JUST HAD to someone. I'll probably end in a third layer of dreaming some day. And then...

I lucidly dreamed once. I really didn't control it too much, I sorta just went "yeah I'm dreaming, but let's not let that stop me" and continued some half-baked plot with numerous characters from across media doing something. I even remembered it after I woke up, although the plot itself slowly drained. Actually twice now that I think of it, but god that other one was a bad dream.

And then there was that one time I had sleep paralysis, that scared my poor small child brain out of it's mind. The sensation of trying to open your hand, and move your body, and failing. It was like my entire body was sluggish, like I had some sort of anesthesia.

I've had sleep paralysis lots. It used to bother me, but ever since I learned what it is it's more... tranquil. The feeling of not being able to move at all is pretty unique. You can feel yourself trying, but I think that's just your brain trying not to freak itself out too much.

Lucid dreaming is difficult. I get it all the time, but when it happens I:

1. Immediately start feeling ridiculously tired in-dream.
2. Know that, if I fall asleep or close my eyes for too long in-dream, I wake up.

Number 2 is a self-fulfilling prophecy by the nature of dreams.
