Can't do. Each Empire is ruled by a monarch which rarely allows photography. It's a very sad state of affairs, everyone is drafted into a military workforce at the moment of maturity ;(
War is hell. Even war between ants.
I don't even know which colony won the drumstick in the end. I just bloody hope it was worth it.

What is it about hot, dry, climates that leads to such huge insects and spiders?

Whatever it is, remind me to stay the hell away from there. I'll stick to places where the bugs and aquatic life are manageable.

Until the carp eventually break through and take over the Great Lakes except Superior.

On my WTF list about my new (well, starting this fall) school:
81 inches (205.74 cm), in the thirties. That is their snowfall record. Their record low, I should say.
105.5 inches (267.97 cm), in 2004. Their record for January snowfall.
118.9 inches (302.006 cm), 1978. December snowfall record.
355.9 inches (903.906 cm), 1978-1979. Highest single-season snowfall.
505.1 inches (1282.954 cm), Aggregate of highest monthly snowfalls for all months with recorded snow (Oct. through May), since 1890.

Don't exactly know. It would be tied to each individual biome though, I mean, the ants here are fine until the odd heatwave or so happens every decade... And then shit happens. It's a very different place to a desert, but the mechanics would be *kinda* the same.

R.I.P. Those ants who died in the great chewy drumstick war of 2012

The inverse cube law is weakened in those circumstances, I think.

Applied for a job at a bank, the online application took me hours to fill out, because of asinine questions.

Example: "List all residences, permanent and temporary you have lived, including college dorm rooms...."

WTF? What is wrong with people?

I don't freaking remember what dorm rooms and the addresses to the dorms were when I was in college.... I certainly don't remember the exact "move in" and "move out" dates for each dorm room. Holy shit, what possible bearing does this have on anything at all? Answer: none.

It was honestly about as bad as the application I had to fill out for the State to be licensed as an attorney/to take the bar exam.

o_o

It's like a visa application, except more unrelated and tedious! (since for visas you can look at your passport stamps...)

First: Why are you applying for a job at a bank? Aren't you already swamped with obligations? Do you need some extra income that bad?
Two: Yes, I once punched a hole in my wall thanks to paperwork like that. Except the way it was set up, it was literally impossible to fill out without lying. Without knowingly lying. And that was literally the ONLY way to fill out the form - not just guessing and maybe being wrong, but explicitly knowing "this is 100% wrong" and writing it down.

Fucking hate paperwork. Now my eye is twitching just remembering it.

I have moved approximately 30 times in my life. I am not sure I could even name every city, much less the addresses or dates.
