fucking huge robots destroying planets has a reason; The planets are there, and the robots are fucking PISSED!!! :D There need be no other reason beside them just being pissed the fuck off and the planet being in the way... maybe they want to build a hyperspace throughway and the planet is in the way of that?

Hey, when I worked in a gay coffee shop (and consequently spent a lot of my time around the gay community), I learned never to question those things. Just go with it.

Most of the critical reviews focused on seeing the movie as a morally bankrupt paean to vigilanteism. In other words, they took the movie as the director's political statement. And their evidence for it being totally serious is that it's not tongue-in-cheek enough to be satire (which would also be a political statement).

Let's see...you have the kindly old inventor from Fraggle Rock as a bartender with Tourette's, you have a well-known porn star as a mob henchman, and you have a Scottish comedian as a total badass hitman. Totally srs.  ::)
