Double kill, including another one by a Rapier! Mercenaries are really carving into the Raider forces. It wasn't really meant to be this way... Raiders move next.

You forgot to remove Sentinel and Thunder from the map, I think Hurricane's still alive, and you forgot to let RAM shoot acid shot (It's a light weapon, so it can be used as a sub-attack, right?)

Ah. Damn, forget those I did. Rather, I removed Hurricane instead of them by accident. And I missed that Acid Shot, too. I'll fix that up.

Heh heh, I was a little hasty there.

I should really start finishing that standalone version. My current procrastination mode is programming, so I try to divert it to useful goals.

P.S. And mussolini's lacking so XP, and is still at 4/5 health on his torso. That game must be a bitch to update.

Only because all the data is plain text in cells. If I rebuild it with tables and stat sheets, it'll be easy to automate. Or, at least, possible to automate. I'm working on a sort of an "RTS engine" for these sorts of things.

Can individual units retreat, or does the whole squad have to go? As Hurricane is fairly useless without his plasma pistol. If he can retreat he does so, if not he'll move {S,E} to G12 and Punch Mussolini twice.

well, if this was done more like a real tbs would (a unit is moved and their actions are resloved, then the next one goes), It'd be less overkill each turn. But it really is the only way to go about it.

Yeah. But I was more referring to the facts that you are, in fact, commiting suicide, since yours untis (At least on the river map) will get crushed by the conlonists and my untis afterwards.

Well, I intend to make it as difficult for you two as possible really. Currently your units have been easier to attack, thus I've gone after them. I'm hoping to deal more than I get each fight, even if I don't actually 'win' the battle

Fighting on the defensive helps, but you have to destroy the most threatening units that can get you first.

Also, it would be much more fun if we went the Battletech way (first move phase, then attack phase), but the fights would be far too long in that case.

I'll update soonish, gotta go for half an hour.

Actually, I guess it's the only way to win the game, by long-term attrition. However, if you kill 3 of mine units for 2 of yours, you're still going to loose because the colonists will get the better of you.

Which is why I need to do at least 2:1 damage odds. I don't think that's gonna happen with my one battle of experience though...
