So, I guess it is time. The eggs have been returned, and Arcadia is save from falling from the sky. Too bad no one knows of what we just did, being known as THE HEROES WHO SAVED ARCADIA AND THE DRAGONS might get us some help for what we are about to do, not to mention 'fundings'. Maybe I can get Loreat to write some songs about our deeds. He is a bard after all. Too bad he doesn't speak common. Having reputation would give us lots of oppurtunitys. I think I'll bring this up when I talk the others tomorrow.

Anyway, it is time. We are nearing the tower, and Rulqas in it. I can't wait to finally meet that guy.  He destroyed Ibea, attacked Eriden, and maybe even more I don't know about. Even if I'll never return to Eriden, I won't let my hometown get ransacked by this bastard. Rulqas will die, and if he throws hundreds more of his stupid bandits and monsters at us.


Looking at what I just wrote down, I have to say I'm getting rather emotional about this whole thing. I just joined these guys to escape from Eriden. Where did that go wrong? First I become friends with that darned kobold, and now I want to go into that tower so I can protect Eriden?

Apparently, I do. This won't end well for me. Still, it's too late to change my opinion now. I'll think about this some more when Rulqas is dead. Who knows, killing the guy who threatens to invade our world might just make me rich and famous. And I'll get my revenge. I'll just focus on killing him for now. I can think about my situation later.

Those puns were really knife, Red. In fact they were so good, I must bow to you. Though some of them were rather bolt.

So, we've returned the dragon eggs to the temple; Though I can't say it went smoothly.  After we placed the eggs on the altar I asked the spirits if I could keep one of the gold eggs, they did have an extra after all!  The spirits were quite angry over this-  They thought I wanted to keep it as a pet!  I said that I could teach it many useful things, and that I would take excellent care of it. 

They set me on fire.

I quickly put the fire out, but I got the message.  I offered a few more points of why they should agree as I beat a hasty retreat.  Maybe next time I'll point out how the 'yanki have an alliance with evil dragons, and propose helping the good ones forge an alliance with the Githzerai.  I guess that would be a lie... I want to interact with the Githzerai about as much as I want to leave my horse.  Although I'd leave my horse for a hatchling dragon, so maybe that's a bad analogy...


Later, as we were sailing to one of the towers the sailor at the wheel stopped and pointed to two large ogre-like creatures wielding morningstars on the horizon.  Each had two heads and looked a bit like earth elementals, what with all the dirt covering them.  I ordered the Sailors to sail in a circle around the monsters, but strangely our group's decision was to dismount and charge the things.  Once we were on the ground everybody fanned out, as if to protect the metal boat!

Just as Myst summoned some giant beetles one of the ugly beasts charged towards me and Loaw.  I fired a volley at it, but all the filth covering it acted as an armor, deflecting my arrows.  Loaw had far more luck; He set his spear against the beast's charge, and drove it straight through a knee.  The two heads clonked together as it's stride was interrupted, and they both looked down curiously at the now defunct knee.  The idiotic creature didn't realize that although it's leg had stopped moving, it was still going forward at a high velocity.  And because it had looked down, both it's heads were directly between the ground and it's torso.  It made twin disgusting wet thud sounds. 

Seeing as one beast had fallen, I urged my horse to the right, where the other creature was charging Mysteller.  I shot it once in the knee.  Although my arrow didn't go as deep as Loaw's spear, it interrupted the beast's gait adequately for the heads to bump together.  Predicting this, I had also fired two parallel arrows between it's heads.  The arrows slid cleanly through their respective eye sockets, felling the monster instantly.  My kill made a nice 'whumph' sound.

Immediately I rode to the corpse and began cutting into it's stomach, hoping it had eaten someone with valuable items.  I found a magic quiver, shield and some scrolls which Adale took.  I also found out that the intestines contained smells that would kill a lesser gith- it was all I could do not to puke.

After that we divvied up some gold Loaw found on his kill, and went back to our exciting trip to the tower.

There'll be no session this week either. Sorry for the drought, everyone.

But long story short, between my birthday (which is Friday) and homework, my schedule is... uh, tight.
The good news is, when the next session does finally actually happen, the fight at the Tower of Ascension is going to be awesome!
