Metamance the level cap to twelve. Being above maximum metamancy now, metamance our level to 21.75 and metamance the cap back to 20.

RedWarrior stop trying to raise the level cap, Aklyon is being pretty clear in his dislike of the idea.

[Big post, lots of quote text.]

You discuss things with the Cryswarm.

Hole in the ground where the cowardly shopkeeper was (now the ground floor of the Tower School of Magery)
Quote from: Crys. H. M.
Did you get us from him?
Or the idea?
Where'd that fancy book go?
The one with the cool symbol!
No, the one with the faded eye!
No, the old one that got translated!
Book Argument x2,957 total. x800 unique arguers

Um...
Were We talking about something?
Besides books?
Ooh, the new Tower School looks nice.
But its taller than our tower.
:( x501 (counting Vix)
Wheres Bob?
Boooooob!
Where are you?
We need you to add to our tower!
Or we could ask the dwarves.
No, we're in the middle of town now.
They aren't going to expose themselves just for Adamantium.
Why not?
They built our tower before.
But We were way outside town then.
No one but the occasional farmer.
Why won't you guys agree with me?
Because this is different.
*cough cough*
Quote from: Con't.
Oh!
Vix!
Sorry, did you say something?
We were busy arguing with us about Your/Our tower thats shorter than the Tower School of Magery
You know, from this angle...
What? x~100 (the top units)
Oh nevermind.
You guys probably won't want to move just to see something differently.

Low quality buildings everywhere
Quote
Low Quality?
Indeed.
They look average from this side.
Then you guys are obviously on the wrong side.
Close up they look like crap.
I wonder if this is why the masons charge so much?
Pay more, do less?
No, that wouldn't work.
People would notice the shabbiness.
Not if everywhere else in town looked as good
or bad.
Seriously, the houses look fine. switch with us and look, guys.
Nah. x~400

The town walls are destroyed a la 'demon attacks'
Quote
No they aren't. x800
(He never actually smashed the walls. just the gate, and some random stuff on the way to the mayors)

The scrapyard has no scrap
Quote
Why is it called a scrapyard?
It has no scrap.
The sign says "Garbage Heap O' Garbage.
Collected occasionally, if needed as fuel or something."

Well that solves it.
But shouldn't there be scrap in the garbage?
Why would there be?
Why not?
Because if there was, it would be the scrapyard.
Oi.
Did we just go in a circle?
Yes...

More later, maybe. Post is huge enough as-is.

Actions or Mayor stuff, please.

Look at the education system outside of the School of Magery, if the standard education proves to be insufficient then improve it with our vast knowledge of... Vix-ness... or something.

Have the MASON'S GUILD!! repair the gates. Use force if necessary.

See who our incompetent bookkeeper is.

our incompetant bookkeeper was found beat to death with a book-shaped hunk of wood that had a badly drawn snowflake on it.
Aparently the mayor didn't tell anyone, and now there are stupid people thinking we usurped him.

What education system? the masons have training, the blacksmith has apprentices, and the rest have either no education at all, or know some useful skill. We don't know how to improve non-existant things.

the Masons are quite obliging once you showed them the mayor's will and the stamped order for the gates. still wanted half-price though. waste of part of the treasury, you think.

Furtaka: Yes, tower school. if the initiates are stupid enough to fight near the windows and fall out, then they didn't really deserve to be wizards.

Hm... We need to improve our psionics somehow so we can manually make people smarter, but that can wait. For now make a show of us "taming" the "demon's" cat army so nobody becomes suspicious about that.
Fetch Bob and have him make our tower larger than the school.
Make our fancy new mayor's office into something more... more WIZARDLY![/slow].

Start a small non-magical school that teaches practical skills, such as basic carpentry, crop rotation and irrigation techniques, craft skills, etc, to those with free time.

Build a large cistern near the center of town for an irrigation network.

Also, alchemize some stone with a pyroagent, and see if we can create an ever-burning stone.

Demand to meet with the mason's guild. They must lower their prices or else they will be replaced by robots.

We're a Deus ex Machina'd master cryomancer, why would we ruin that by doing pyromancy?

They already have a thing like that with the masters training people who apprentice themselves, Argonnek. But like other systems, there are slip-through-crack people, and they know zip. We're busy enough bribe/debate/compromising with other somewhat-decent wizards to teach at the school and finding a new half-decent bookkepper person to make a second school right now.

They already have decent irrigation.

Burning Stone? I hope you aren't making a Dune reference, blind Vix would be quite unhelpful.

You tell your office paperwork-people that you'll be using your fancy tower rooms instead of the mayor's office, but that does not mean the tower is an public office.

The Mason's guild (or a very good forger) sent you a note:
"Bye!"
You threw it out the window like all the other pointless notes, and see smoke rising past your window.

Bob can't find any usable stone.
Choices:
Upgrade AI, making him more able to do stuff and better.
or Deconstruct Arena, use the rock as building material again.

See what the burning is, if it's something we wouldn't like then kill the cause of it.

Upgrade Bob's AI when we have the chance to.
