So, I was thinking about getting this game, but the demo is lagging for me.
Does the actual game run smoother than the demo?

Try lowering your resolution, for some reason, Magicka is really sensitive to it. Made all my lagging problems go away.

Not much you can do. The game occasionally lags even on my pc, and I have a nice gaming rig.

Are you in Windowed mode?

If you think it's because of the graphics you're way off. Or do you want to tell me this game is "heavier" than stuff like Crysis 2 on highest settings, in which I can get a smooth 60 frames ( impossible in Magicka for me ) ? The game is optimized like shit. No other way around this unfortunately.

Try playing DF on 4x4 with more than a single cat and a dorf on a crappy rig. Same thing. And there aren't even any graphics involved.
