The FCN post is in process.
But is dangerous to go alone, take this:

I think that sentence describes all of Failcannon.

It would need to be sung by a Viking, a Scotsman,
I'd volunteer for those two except that my heritage has probably been too sullied by middlewestern-european blood.

I think getting Genghis Khan to sing for us would be the hard part. Vikings and Scotsmen are easy to find. 12th-century Mongolian warlords are a bit sparser.

On a side note, my vocal rendition of this song has been shelved due to coming down with a cold. Perhaps in a few days, I'll try again.

Oh, forgot to ask - what's Aussie Dwarf up to?  Still hiding from danger?

Just looked at the save - apparently in the main courtyard, on her way to construct a kobold bone bridge to block/allow access to the STFO.  She has some minor bruising to her lower body, is covered in water (apparently she was caught in the rain recently and also had a nice bath...), all her clothes are worn and ragged, and she has been haunted by the dead, but she's nonetheless quite happy.

Since she's a worshiper of Lur Thiefwitch, I like to think that he's the one haunting her, so it's actually causing happy thoughts.

Arcangelsd - any idea why there's some random lyemaker locked outside the western wall?

I opened up the Unread Replies page and saw that you were the last poster. I got scared. Something about you posting scares me, ever since Failcannon.

To allow/block access to the FCN Tower, actually.
As for the lye maker, if it's not a "controlable" dorf, it's a diplomat. We have an army of them now. Possibly related to the Catalyst bug, they won't go crazy.

So we have an army of liasons wanting to confer with the traitor?  Insidious swine!

...How can we weaponize them against the goblins?

If by weaponize, you mean use as either bait or training dummies for goblins, I think they're fine where they are.

Well, first, we need a catapult...

Build a bridge and a dwarf manning the corresponding lever to ask "questions three" as they try to cross it.

It would need to be sung by a Viking, a Scotsman, and Genghis Khan, all filled with various alcoholic beverages.

That is the most concise description of dorfs I have ever seen.

Hey. I think I missed the last fifty pages or so. Anyone got a summary?

I think I was here when that was built. I stopped following the thread shortly after my last aborted attempt at finishing a year if I remember correctly.

That resulted in all but 5 dwarves to die. Those that are left now are either in hospital, dead, or merciless killing machines.

In short: Dwarf Fortress.
