The "object" that those dwarves collided with was the ground.

The "object" that those dwarves collided with was the ground.

Wait. Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Now we need to modify the earth to be percieved by Dwarves as a hostile being while they fall, so they can dodge it. A legendary dodger could keep flying indefinitely or until he found a safe (constructed) place to stand on.

Science calls.

I'm sorry, but when physics says you're dead, you're dead. No ifs, ands, buts, or continues.

You're looking at this from the completely wrong direction they dont need to dodge the ground they need to deflect it with their shields!

With only the slight problem that falling objects don't kill stuff.

Yet.

Some objects do.

If they count as objects, that is.

Architecture doesn't count as an object.

*tumbleweed*

...actually, tumbleweeds in DF would be pretty awesome. Let's see, they appear in desert/badlands biomes, use the masterwork symbol or the dwarfbuck symbol and can be used to see if a map has wind (ie they'd be blown in a direction or just stay still and get munched on by cattle).

So Ledi's been training the cats into an army of disposable warbeasts?  Why did no-one think of this sooner?!
Hellcannon seemed to be constantly on the verge of death and Levergedon before my turn helped, but ultimately what killed it was Ledi's cat army.

Until then fly up into a corner of your wall and get stuck... followed by another... and another... all trying to pathfind... and soon you've got a problem worse than cats.

Once they get stuck they could cease to pathfind and after burning is allowed in Fort Mode you could get rid of them easily enough... or you could weaponize them and fling them at goblins. Tumbleweeds could also grow in your forts area and if you get to them before they die, you should be able to brew them. Tumblewhiskey for everyone!
