Because of how absurdly many came out of the glowing pits in .40d, someone dubbed it the "Clown Car". Thus, demons are "clowns" and hell is the "circus".

I think we should have 2 contests with this:

Kill as many as possible as fast as possible (fort mode and adventure mode)
Save as many as possible over the longest period of time. (fort mode)

Second might be a bit unrealistic due to framerate issues.  I'd like to reiterate that I left that running for about 24 hours at 4fps before everyone was killed.  It was only a year in game time.  Actually, I'm curious now.  How long is a df year in real time?  Does anyone know?

I dare someone to out populate the humans without mass murder.

Yeah maybe it should just be for 5 years or so. Enough time that some sieges and FBs can happen but not so long it takes forever.

Yes, I also dare someone to light their computer on fire and stomp on the ashes.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.
