Hey guys, I put up the combat rules that I want to use on the first post. I'm not entirely sure if I want the body part selection part of it (which is a bit modified from the origional), but I'm going to give it a try and see how it works out.

Well, we have to test it out. One can`t really judge it, now.

Look at the combat rules, you can't actually aim for a specific part in your action, but I'll be sure to have it hit the mouth if you roll a headshot for either ogre.

Also, boldify your action dude!.....

Since I don't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon, I try and zap the ogres with lightning.

Turn invisible and attempt to mind control the ogres to stay still and do nothing.

I'm already working on the rolls, it didn't start out very well, but it looks like its about to ramp up. Especially since Torc just pratically firebombed the immediate area.

Even though Torc rolled a 6 on the firebomb and was thinking of letting a magic roll of 6 bypass a body part roll, I've decided to stick with the rules, no need to confuse myself now.

Edit: Just realized I have two left legs in the body part roll section.... lol

What I do in my RTDs is I have each guy with an amount of hitpoints(10 is average for humans, but some bosses I've had go up to 50) and oppose the two rolls. For example, if the attacker rolls 5 and the defender 3, the result is 2 damage. If the attacker rolls 6 and the defender 1, the result is 5 damage. If the attacker also has a +3 weapon, the result is 8 damage. If the defender also has a +4 Armor, the result is 4 damage. Special attacks, like shooting someone in the head with a sniper rifle, do x2 damage, etc.

Turn 9: The son of Hephaestus unleashes a fire nuke

Well, lets see what people think of this combat round. Alethe basically ended it by scrambling the ogres brains with a blast of mind control. The ogres actually didn't get hurt much at all, most of the damage in this round came from Thorcs fireball nuke.

Throw my javelin at the female ogre and then CHARGE!
TEar one of thier throats out
Kill the ogres with fire and hammer.
fire off a shot, aim for either mouth.
Since I don't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon, I try and zap the ogres with lightning.
Turn invisible and attempt to mind control the ogres to stay still and do nothing.

[Arngrim Aim:2][F Ogre dodge:1-3][BP check:3] [Tharin attack:2][M Ogre counterattack:2] [Arngrim charge:4][F Ogre dodge:1-2][BP check:2][damage:1-5] [Torc Attack:1+6][Ogres dodge:1-2 and 1-4][BP checks:2 and 5][damage:1-6 1+2]

Arngrim gets off the first shot of the group and the female ogre avoids it, just barely, as it hits a tree right next to her. Next, Tharin tries to attack the male ogre and misses completely, his target attempts to counterattack and misses as well with his fist. At this time, Arngrim charges at the female ogre and only manages a light cut on her torso. Right then, Torc unleashes a giant fireball so big that it engulfs both Ogres and sets the immediate area on fire. The two ogres try to dodge the fireball, the male ogre moves to shield his mate and is caught completely in the middle of it and somehow only gets his chest slightly charred, he may as well have a bad sunburn, his mate gets her left arm scorched.

Because of the size of the fireball, everybody has to dodge roll against it:

[6] Alethe manages to deflect the fireball with her shield, but is now in a poor position for a second dodge.

[2][6][1+2(fire resist)] Drex gets hit pretty hard in his right front leg, creating a bad burn, but nothing he can't survive.

[6] Arngrim somehow manages to completely avoid the fireball, but is now open to attack.

[2][3][3] Tharin gets hit hard in the right side, both of his right arms in that form are on fire and burning.

[6] Torc doesn't even gets hit by his own fireball, he is now open to attack however.

[3][4][1+2+1] Despite being partially shielded by the tree and his own shield, Neberhar gets hit in his left leg, which is now on fire and burning.

[F ogre counterattack:5][Arngrim dodge:1-2][BP check:3][damage:1-5] [Drex aim:1] [Neberhar aim:2] [Torc attack:1]

The female ogre takes the opportunity to counterattack against Arngrim and lightly gashes his shoulder with her claws. Drex finally fires an arrow and curses loudly when it misses his target completely. At the same time, Neberhar decides to get the hell out of the tree [6] and succeeds epically, raining embers down below from the burning tree. He attempts to line up his shot and the shot goes wild, hitting nobody. Then Torc decides to go and hammer the ogres, his aim misses, smashing his hammer into a tree, raining even more embers and bits of burning branches. [6] Alethe decides theres no point in going invisible now, so she taps deep into her divine roots and effortlessly locks the ogres primitive minds, they are now entirely under her control, however the power is such that it [2]severely scrambles their brains. Effectively rendering them infants.

Man, what a battle, unfortunately, the immediate area is on fire due to Torc basically rolling a 7 and nuking the area with fire magic.

Male Claw Ogre
Health: lightly scorched chest.
Statuses: effectively braindead (autofail on dodge)
Equipped:loincloth

Female Claw Ogre
Health: gash on torso, scorched left arm.
Statuses:  effectively braindead (autofail on dodge)
Equipped:loincloth, Primitive club made from a large tree branch.

If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself... go me!

Mind control the ogres into following us, they're sure to scare away any other predators.

I judge a combat system after how much people get hurt. We have quite some wounds; And i like it.
(For a moment i was quite anxious since the firenuke hit the ogres while i was practically standing right next to them..)

Help the wounded guys to put the fire on their clothes out. Then i retrieve my javelin and follow the other guys again.

Yea, you got a very lucky roll, despite being right in the path of the firenuke. Anyways, just put up the statuses a moment ago.

((...boom...hehe.))

Help put out the fires by absorbing it. Be wary in case the ogres attack again.
