There is still a good deal of tissue on it,

I was going to say that you'll have to clean some of it first, but then I decided to let you go ahead.

Might be time to actually implement a skill system, after I work on the combat stuff.....

((quick question how much metal would it take to make some kind of vehicle that can carry all of us?))

"Let me try those gauntlets again."

Work on the gauntlets as we travel.

Depends on the vehichle (mainly the size), and unlike doing armor, it would have to take multiple turns. If you have an idea for one, you can PM me if you want and we can work it out that way. Since a full set of armor would be up to 8 units of metal, maybe 10, a really basic vehichle that is just the frame, would be at least 10. If you use other materials along with it rather than all metal, it'll be less. Remember, there aren't any gas stations, so its going to require some method of powering it (steam would be possible, but again, fuel).

I was considering steam because we have two guys that control fire and one guy who can make it rain.

Waiting on Wolfchild. Going to do the rolls in the morning anyhow.

Anyways, I've selected some combat rules that I like, possibly with a few tweaks. May also add the body part targeting system and I'm thinking of going with the luck system that seems to be common.

While theres really nothing stopping you from actually building something that would use steam power, you'd have to get the cooperation of your fellow players first.

Heh, maybe I spilled the beans a bit too much. I did leave some pretty big clues and you all knew that I was going to do a combat round soon, despite there being a pseudo-combat round on turn 5 which, thankfully, got averted.

Turn 8: Claw Ogres suck at ambushing.

The rolls this turn weren't too bad. I had origionally intended for the Claw Ogres to ambush the party, but thats just the way RTDs go. Anyways, Neberhar finally unlocked full flight capability, along with getting himself stuck in a tree in the proccess. :)

Also, I need to learn to do the luck rolls while I'm doing the turns. I promise I didn't manipulate the rolls or the order in any way, just need to get my method straightened out.

craft crude armor from the bones.
[1] You utterly fail at crafting anything and you only succeeded in mangling the corpse even further.

Quote from:  Claw Ogres
sneak
[1] The two Claw Ogres try to sneak up on the party, one of them sneezes, loudly, the other one crushes the bush that was hiding both of them. The advantage of surprise has been lost, completely, everybody knows where they are. These two beasts are large, about 8 feet in height and have sharp looking claws on their hands. They are extremely primitive and highly aggressive.

((quick question how much metal would it take to make some kind of vehicle that can carry all of us?))

"Let me try those gauntlets again."

Work on the gauntlets as we travel.
[2] Torc was about to start working on the gauntlets when the Ogres showed up. At least he is already wielding his hammer.

Take to the skies and search for signs of what killed that thing.
[6] You effortlessly launch yourself into the sky, and get caught in the branches of a tree because you weren't looking where you were going. [luck: 5]You get scratched up a little ((negligable as far as wounds go)). Like everybody else, you can see the Ogres, except you have an aerial view of the battlefield. ((You can still attack with your abilities))

Scare the beasts off with an illusiory explosion
[2] You attempt to scare off the Ogres with an illusory explosion of light, and fail to scare them, [3]however the flash of light dazzles them just long enough to give everybody a good chance of hitting them next turn.

I'll try to get rid of that headache and follow the others for now.
[4] You successfully get rid of the headache, however nobody is going anywhere due to the Claw Ogres.

Perform a quick rune ritual asking for protection. Just.. Just in case.
[2] You fail due to being interrupted by Claw Ogres.

Quote from:  Male Claw Ogre
KILL!
[6]He gets the initiative to attack first and throws a boulder at the group [luck: 1] which goes wide and slams into a nearby tree, damaging it.

Quote from: Female Claw Ogre
ROAR!
[3] She tries to roar at the percieved carcass thieves and only manages a menacing growl. They both mean serious business and will protect each other as mates.
