It also has 60hp per inch of thickness, so there's that. I just remember that there was an Obdurium door behind which a god was kept prisoner in Castle Greyhawk. (or possibly Ravenloft?

Fair enough, I was just thinking that if brute, physical force can hack its way through than a god could probably find a way, but even if it is specifically immune to deific influence than the local stuff would almost certainly be modified to fail to overcome the immunity to non-divine weapons that these gods have. Plot beats all...

Oooh, I almost forgot, I could really go for an animated shield...

For what it's worth, let me clarify the way that spear works (to the party's current knowledge. I'll fill in the blanks as you figure them out):

Gugnir

This weapon initially appears to be either a lance, javelin, or longspear. As a free action, the wielder can will it to change between these forms.

Lance (the only form you've currently seen)

Deals damage as a +1 holy lance. This weapon ignores all damage immunities. This weapon ignores all non-divine hardness and damage resistance. This weapon is treated as Good, Magic, and Lawful for the purposes of bypassing divine damage reduction

Javelin
 Properties unknown, experimentation required.

Longspear

Deals damage as a +1 holy longspear. This weapon ignores all damage immunities. This weapon ignores all non-divine hardness and damage resistance. This weapon is treated as Good, Magic, and Lawful for the purposes of bypassing divine damage reduction

Shonus, what's your opinion on the effect of Obdurium on a deity? Do its plot-immune powers apply there?

The only source I have for it is the SBG. As far as I am concerned, it's just extra tough metal. (In other words, it does not have divine damage reduction)

Hrm.  For now:

Orange Ioun Stone (30,000 gp), Deep Red Ioun Stone (8000), Pink and Green Ioun Stone (8000), Circlet of Persuasion (4500), Lyre of Building (13500)

I'll probably think of more later

OK, so I guess I took 60 GD from the party funds to make my book with?

I'll make the changes to my character sheet later tonight or tomorrow morning to add the book and deduct the XP cost.

Does it look good for us playing this Friday?

Hrm....  We DO have a game today, don't we?

If so, I might have to leave a bit earlier than my usual time.  That is to say:  rather than staying up until 4 in the morning, I may only stay up to around, oh 2:30.

This is in my time, of course.

I might make part of it, but likely not all of it. Silly once-per-year jazz festivals.

Oh, forgot!  Zook will make 3 dragons bile & black lotus extract, with 2 drow poison during the two weeks, and spend the rest of his time counter-acting the costs of that so I dont have to go figure out how much that costs.

Sorry, not going to manage it this week. Woke up yesterday afternoon with the mother of all colds. I'm half-drunk on the cold medicine and I'm going to go back to bed.

So, now that it's a new week, is there a session this week?

Also, you need to invest in some vegetables or something and build up your immune system, dude. Or else find some method of stress relief to avoid psychosomatic illness, and improve general health...

There will be a session this Friday.

I'm pretty sure that this cold had a lot to do with spending 8 hours a day in a freezing warehouse with book dust flying eveywhere. I need to invest in a mask.

Make sure that it is a mask with a filter, those surgical masks don't really protect the wearer...
