Okay, few things here.
First, apologies for not publicly claiming the plot directly N of Beta's current plot. Second, I've razed the house I'd built there down to the foundations, for the most part, and moved my claim to the plot directly east of Beta's plot. The old plot will be restored to mostly pristine condition as soon as I'm finished with my house - I'm currently prototyping walls on my possible spot.
Second, Beta is a kickass sculptor and made a freaking amazing prototype elephant topiary for the park. Give him some props.
Third, I've moved the metals and coal from Moria's outbox to the mines north of Eisenhauge.
Fourth, I've renamed my underground park to Underhaven. Apparently the German translation ("Unteroase") was bothering a few people. -cough- LNCP -cough-
Fifth, and I think coolest, there's a wool wall next to Beta's proto-topiary. It's got a grayscale elephant. I think this should be the heraldric animal of Eisenhauge, and I've plopped a couple of these without the red wool next to the arch over Underhaven's entrance. I'd like to see it inlaid into large walls, plazas, and the like all over the city - I've cooked up something pretty cool lore-wise to go with it.
In the Thief games (very dystopian steampunk, BTW), there's areas marked with a red handprint. The red handprint marks areas where you can find less-than-legal services - IE, fences, whores, etc. - and I'd like to use an ASCII version of the elephant, but upside down, to mark similar areas in Eisenhauge.
Here's the flipped elephant, in ASCII:
O
iOi
oOOOo
oOOOo
The 'i' is equivalent to the white wool, the 'o' is equivalent to the gray wool, and the 'O' is equivalent to the light gray wool.
If we decide not to use it as the heraldric animal for Eisenhauge, I have first dibs on it. Just sayin'.
