But on to the point, the weird thing is I got a degree in physics and theres no jobs to choose from. Any idaes?

Sounds like the game is TOO realistic, lol.

Also, check your character's religion.

Roman Catholic.

Also, it seems the jobs are invisible or something. If I just click O.K. it must select from the first one in the invisible list. Huh.

You're a factory worker in Brazil?

I thought this was a joke or something, but it seems like there actually is a game (more like educational simulation) that's called "Real Lives".

I'm surprised. And somewhat amused.

DF Players never truly leave.  They just abandon the fortress for a few years and then reclaim.

Having a job and living in a place with sunny weather would be a bonus for me.

With the not being able to pick jobs thing, I have that same problem, just click okay and it should select a job, but it's probably a crappy job. I think it's some bizarre display bug, and it's ridiculous so I personally went back to an earlier version.
Real Lives is the true Rogue Like, though. It's damn hard.

I totally fucked up my current game after such a promising start.  My character roll was great.  This game doesn't let you chose your stats but I rolled stats near min max with my dump stats in dexterity and fitness which are useless when playing the Nerd class on the East US server.  I was steadily plowing through the newbie levels when I epically failed the "find an internship" quest.  Now I don't have enough money to get back into college region and try that quest again.  I'm stuck grinding the "entry level job" quest which is impossible the last update and I keep failing the quest and restarting and when I do succeed, the quest rewards are barely worth the effort.  I even tried to multiclass into a Nerd-Marine for the willpower points but during the recruiting quest I got stuck with the medical ineligibility curse.  Until that wears off in October, I can't even join a group for the basic training instance and God knows how long it will take for that instance to clear up.

Long story short, if you botch a big quest in Real Lives 2010, you are going to spend a loooooong time waiting for another shot.  I recommend keeping Real Life window'd so that you can play another game while you wait.

Eugh. I was born a woman in Brazil, and after a few years of undernourishment. my family got stable. I made it into trade school. I move out, get married. Then I live until age 80 hoping to GOD my husband will get a job (he got a Doctorate degree in criminal justice, but never worked at all.) Trying to get enough raises to support the ungodly amount of children he keeps forcing me to have.

Unpleasant to say the least.

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

I'm playing Real Lives 2004, because I can't find a download for 2010 that doesn't require me to tell them my life story and x2 was apparently too cool to explain what the game was or where to find it.

Any alternate locations?
