Enough of GD wasn't around for VN that VN has become an irrelevant and meaningless comparison. We survivors are few, and wish to put the past behind us.

VN isn't even gone, merely removed from the public eye, like a half-elf criminal uncle, locked in the depths of the fortress dungeon who noone visits anymore, and only partially because to visit requires a pass from the king(astoundingly, The King Who Never Mandates, so that policy won't change soon).

I once took to writing down his tales of the past, but have been postponing(probably perpetually) discussing the time shortly before his imprisonment, and all I have are rough notes that will take some effort to be publicly viewable, and even then, dare I tell anyone his tale? Probably not.

It started as the equivalent of the entire finally section packed into one subforum, then in it's last months...

There is a reason why it is not around anymore.

Imagine the worst site you can think of. Now, VN was not that bad. VN compared to the rest of here is like that site compared to the rest of the internet, assuming that here is far better than average.

Comparisons with the current GD Finally minus FG and VN are perfectly valid.

I feel special being both one of the authorized VN observers and someone who was here when it fell (roughly, I took a sabbatical out of disgust relatively early)
