English (UK)' English (US), and 'English (AU)'. And even English (NZ).
No love for English (CA)? D:
No love for American(the south/mid-west of america)?

No! We get one type of English. You may call it General American or Standard American English. All other types of American English are dialectical variations thereof!
I think you might have missed the joke. It's that some(or many) people in the south and mid-west call the language we speak 'American' and think 'English' is an entirely different language.

Ulp. Tack was wrong. He also saw V for Vendetta much earlier than he last looked up Guy Fawkes.

England has a Protestant on the throne, as well.

So, Guy Fawkes night IS about foiling a terrible treason.
I dunno about treason.  It would've definitely been mass murder, and that amount of explosives would've taken out most of central London (so even if you say EVERY member of parliament is somehow guilty, there'd be a lot of innocents dying too).

I saw a commercial for the movie Burlesque and it got me on a rant to everyone who would listen about how old the "young lady leaves small town to find work in Hollywood" story is. It made me angry.

Such an outdated movie plot.

I don't know?...

And another flaw with this movie is that they censored it just to get more of an audience. A clear sign of attempting to get a cash cow.

And I loathe Cher.

From what I got from wiki, he just wanted to put a Catholic king on the throne.

And he was tried for High Treason anyway.

So yeah... He wasn't a terrorist, he was an assassin. Just a bad one.

Oh. I did.

I've heard that before, although not in the Midwest (where I'm from) but in the Southeast. I don't have any problems with calling the dialect American, but anyone who thinks it's a different language probably can't even define language.

Yeah I never heard anyone besides myself (jokingly), call American English, American.

And I am also from the Midwest.

The people who think "American" is a language are those who think the earth is the center of the solar system and that evolution is a lie.

There's actually no conclusive proof that evolution exists. The only reason it's widely taught is because it's the most likely theory. But remember, it's still a theory.

Gravity is also a theory.

On one last note I don't think that Britain gets very many tornadoes.

Gravity is also a theory.

A theory that is quite easy to prove.

You know, besides the entire fossil record conforming to it and every biological discovery over the last century and a half fitting it like a glove.

A scientific theory is not the same as a general theory. Scientific theory is the highest level of certainty in non physics-related concepts, above the hypothesis, which are as likely to be true as general theories are.
