I go with Dervin to get drunk with him. I wasn't particularly attached to that ship, but getting drunk is always fun.

So, it just now occurred to me how it's both a good thing and bad sign that a six-man frigate has >6 escape pods.

(Captain Silo, Roadviper)

Attempt to put myself out, again. Then berate crew for their lack of discipline, both in destroying a frigate we could have studied, and in leaving their commanding officer on fire for long periods of time. Mention that I suspect that last one may be in breach of some protocol or another.

Then contact HCA forces: "No problem, that's why we came. By the way, would you happen to have any MMCLs lying around? We're missing ours, but otherwise we're fine."

Proceed to inspect wreckage for fighters that can be studied and/or repaired to functionality.

Even if we don't have tractor beams, I'm sure nudging wreckage in the station's direction would work, sort of.

Oh, and use the computer to access... hm... space liquors. Definitely space liquors.

I will attempt to help James extinguish the fire. Then I will make a suggestion to the captain.

"Skipper, I have an idea. We don't know what Xecobians look like, but...if we sent a boarding party to one of the wrecked capital ships, maybe we could find some corpses...maybe."

The carrier has been basically atomized and I doubt theres much left of the enemy frigate, let alone corpses.

But... The derelict fighters...

And maybe the first frigate, that 'survived'.

There's not much left of the first frigate.
(Roadviper)

Watch for the Frigiates, fire missiles at them when they are within range. Until they are within range, take shots at the enemy fighters.

Your missiles are way too overkill for fighters, sir.

[6]: You let loose on the shieldless frigate with all of your weapons.

Damage [4][4][4][6+1=7][6+1=7]: Err, you reduce the frigate to nothing but a flying piece of molten metal.

The fighters also have a lot of bullet holes in them and they've been melted too. Not likely anything survived untouched. You can inspect them, but it's very unlikely you'll discover anything.

Well, there were a lot smashed up before we got there, some of those might be more... informative.

Besides, maybe we can salvage parts or something. Always bad ideas to be had with the right parts.

Re: USDF Spaceship RTD (Turn 8: What an unproductive turn.)

Turn 8: What an unproductive turn.

Activate the fire control system to put out Ironyowl, whos on fire, assuming the fire control system doesn't involve exposing that section to the vacuum of space or depleting that section of oxygen.
After that, retire to my cabin (I do have one, right?), pull up a book from the ships library (or my own personal library) and do some reading.

[6]: You activate the fire control system, extinguishing Irony. Err, how do you stop the fire control system? The bridge is filling up with water. If you don't shut it off soon the water will reach the electronics and fry them. Not to mention shock anyone caught in the water.

You attempt to wade through the water to your cabin, but you don't want to get your cabin wet.

Report to Shadow and Irony, also find something ANYTHING useful to do
[2]: Urgh! So wet!

Try to find any booze to get drunk off of.
"Why'd it have to be my ship!?"
[3]: You find a spare beer in the bridge. It's diluted by the water though... Oh well.

"Why'd it have to be my ship!?"

Booze reaction [3+1=4]: The diluted beer does little to make you drunk. You are slightly dizzy though.

Write a full report on this battle, also include information on the shield generator modification.
[2]: Arrrgh, all the paper is soaked!

I go with Dervin to get drunk with him. I wasn't particularly attached to that ship, but getting drunk is always fun.
[3]: You find another spare diluted beer on the bridge.

Booze reaction [3+1=4]: The diluted beer does little to make you drunk too. You are also slightly dizzy too though.

Jeez, please don't post that many actions in one turn!

[3]: You're already out. You struggle to get out of the water, but you do get out.

You shout gibberish at the crew. They stare at you strangely.

"No problem, that's why we came. By the way, would you happen to have any MMCLs lying around? We're missing ours, but otherwise we're fine."

Atlantis: "We're... Not exactly the largest colony around. So we can't field frigates, thus we don't store any spares around. Sorry, but you'll have to go to Sol."

You inspect the fighters. You don't find anything that even look remotely salvageable.

Celebrate not dying with Waladil and Dervin.
[4]: You found a non-diluted beer. AWESOMENESS!

Booze reaction [4]: That hut the spoot. Ohh, you're dizzy.

I will attempt to help James extinguish the fire. Then I will make a suggestion to the captain.
"Skipper, I have an idea. We don't know what Xecobians look like, but...if we sent a boarding party to one of the wrecked capital ships, maybe we could find some corpses...maybe."
[5]: There's no fire left. Just the overflowing bridge. You manage to turn off the fire controls.

"Skipper, I have an idea. We don't know what Xecobians look like, but...if we sent a boarding party to one of the wrecked capital ships, maybe we could find some corpses...maybe."

Go in search of a couple of beers and head to my room (which I hope I have one)
[1]: You don't manage to find any beers. But try to find your room. Then realize, this isn't your ship so you have no room. Saddened, you slump down in the hallway.

(Roadviper)
Scan the surronding areas for any good parts left (scrap, electronics, weapons, ect)
[6]: You find a lot of good parts. Though, here's the bad part: They are all APIMGs. Which are very cheap to make.

(Roadviper)
Help the captain pilot the ship.

[1]: Capt'n isn't flying right now. In your boredom, you grab the captain and shove him into his seat. He looks somewhat angry.

(Roadviper)
Request repairs/upgrades to the missile systems

[Autofail]: You have a problem... There's no spares.
