Hmm... anybody heard any whining from 100% completionists? That "Achieve the ultimate accolade and obtain rank 1 on the multiplayer Shogun Ladder" achievement might be a bit hard to get. 

Actually, the achievements show a few other interesting things... like only 3.3% of players having the "Join a clan" achievement. Or that 2.3% of players have beaten the campaign on 'Easy', yet only 0.2% have beaten it on 'Normal'...

I'd say it's too early for that statistic to be representative.  Your average gamer will only have clocked up a couple of hours so far.  Also, it would obviously take less time to beat easy mode than normal.

Oh bollocks.  I finally finished downloading the game just now.  9gb update.  RAEG!!!

Still, there's gotta be something decent in that 9 gig, right?

Gah! I'm annoyed. I've been downloading when I haven't been using the internet connection for anything else since the preloading went up. Half an hour ago I saw the decrypting files dialogue pop up and thought 'ah I might have a chance to play a bit tonight', but no, after the dialogue disappears the download screen reports that I have been set back to 5.5gig out of the 16! From what I can see on the steam forum, a small update that is causing many people to be unable to play the game went out at the same time.

Aside from the 16GB download of the game, the only other thing I've gotten so far is a 45MB update.

Edit: And apparently that update has prevented the game from starting.

Just got a 36.9MB update, game's playable again.

You know what's ironic? 25% of the game's size are movies.

Even with all those GBs left, I've only seen a single town map so far and it sucks... it sucks badly... That tiny castle with 3 gates, over and over again.

......if you already have it updated and want to go offline. To register games you have to go online, meaning every time I get a new Steam game I'm forced to update all of them again.

Nope.  Library > right click on game > properties > updates.

You can turn updates on or off for individual games.

Oh... The 9gb was a lie... after 60mb it jumped to 40% done. Perhaps it's updating 9gb but only takes a few mbs...

Fucking steam downloader. The only two things steam is supposed to do: Download & update games, it doesn't do well at all.


Nevermind... it's actually fucking downloading 9gb... wtf... -_-
