DEONIDEAS is kind of like Ares. Big, masculine and not the sharpest tool in the shed...
everyone seems to have his own interpretation of Deonideas. In some tales he's a dimwitted, lawful stupid warrior, in others he's a cruel merciless murderer / rapist, and in my stories the only thing he's ever killed is a rogue horse.

By the way, His deformities correspond to the symptoms of arsenic poisoning, which was an occupational hazard at the time to smiths who worked with bronze.
I hear he was short and had one leg. how deformed is he supposed to be?

Well, that's pretty much it. Chronic arsenic exposure can cause lameness and skin cancer, and most bronze age smiths would have suffered from it. Looking this up on Wikipedia, I noticed that some mythological sources say Hephaestus built himself some kind of machines, ranging from an ordinary wheelchair to some kind of golems, to help him get around. This is basically the most awesome thing ever, and if Dwarves had some kind of root in Greek mythology, it would definitely be Hephaestus.

But this is all delightfully tangential to Deonideas. Please carry on with your manly fantasy fiction.

Dwarves - Hephaestus
Elves - Artemis?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

that very first picture of deonideas reminds me of.... BLOOD AND THUNDER, VICTORY AT THE SEA
(awesome points for who gets the reference :P )

Also, tadpoles.

While I was reading this thread, it sucked all the ambient MANLINESS around me, and I was left giggling like a schoolgirl, as opposed to my usual monotone. Well done.

Also, my dog appears to have suddenly been recastrated.

He grew his balls back only to have them cut off again?

He grew his balls back only to have them cut off again?

I was wondering how that was possible, and you explained it.

It was more a 'shrivelled, fallen off and sucked into a USB port then the Internet' than a cutting.

I only made it through intact thanks to my LEAD CODPIECE OF PARANOIA+42.

EDIT: Spelling and gramMAN.
