I just skimmed through the thread; I'm going to throw out a list as it seems the most concise way to sum up my feelings on everyone at the moment (arranged from dead-to-lurking-to-most-scummy)

Jokerman - Why'd he die? What was the scum thinking when they killed him? It was a poor play on their part, I'll say that much, and it didn't make much sense... unless they were nervous. Joker was acting rather scummy yesterday -- he threw around his vote a bit too casually.
That was what I thought at first. Thinking further, it's possible scum did thus to subtly throw us town off. Usually new players will attack whoever votes for a confirmed townie (in this case, Spitfire). "Surely whoever voted for Spitfire is scum, as he flipped town!" they say. Let's look at who voted for him: Blargityblarg, Siquo, Jokerman. By taking out Joker, attention is focused toward Siquo and Blargityblarg. We could be dealing with manipulative high-level scum right now.

Spitfire - He was a logical lynch and his defeatism toward the end is what really drove the nail into his coffin, I think. He succumbed to the train of thought many newbies share, 'I know I'm town, and <x> person voted for me, thus he's scum'; note his buddying with Cript on page 6 (default page size). Newbish player who was mistaken as scum.

Blargityblarg, Char13magne - These two are lurking. A lot. Come on guys. Get out here!

Toaster - Toaster skimmed under the radar, acting like a typical town player. He's playing textbook town, really; he's not in the spotlight but he's making accusations and defending himself, which is a surprise in a newbie game. He suspected Knight as early as page 4, but only said that he 'might be mistaking new play for scum tells'. He didn't actually attack Knight until page 7.

Criptfeind - I'll be completely honest: I really felt that the argument between Cript/Siquo on page 6 reeked of distancing. They're both skilled players, so I wouldn't put it past them to distance early and distance often.

Siquo - Early game he was aggressive, but not necessarily constructively -- it felt like he was attacking people to avoid suspicion, not to find scum. He's also rather a good town player, looking at the original BMX. If he were town, he'd probably be dead now -- or at least scum would like us to come to that conclusion.

Knight - He didn't do much at all late Day 1. He defended himself from Toaster, unvoted Char13magne, then threw around a few passive-aggressive threats.
Then, Day 2 rolls around...
First of all I'd like to ask for a mass role claim.
WHAT. Day 2? Are you joking? This early? It's a beginner's match, the only thing a roleclaim would serve wold to help pinpoint the power-roles for scum! This is ridiculously scummy.
Quote
What? I did not use a last second vote. Jokerman did. I could not decide between you and Spitfire. I was actually starting to lean to you when Jokerman voted. But I decided not to tie things back up.
Convenient excuse, you we're "doing the best for the town by making sure there was a lynch"  either that, or you were waiting to make sure you had the last vote you could make sure no-lynch wouldn't happen with two townies as the main suspects.
A no-lynch day one is worse for town than a mislynch. At least a mislynch gives us something to go on -- while a dead townie may sound bad, we have to always look at the silver lining, the information we can glean from such a death. If we had no-lynched yesterday, we'd still be suspicious of spitfire and we wouldn't have moved on.

Knight, you're scum, 100%. You killed Jokerman to help your case against Siquo today. If not, please explain your logic behind asking for a role-claim so early!

Thank you Nolor for saving me the trouble of asking for your thoughts.

I think I could have worked to save Spit from the lynch, as I personally had pretty good proof that he was town, seeing as I have the same role as him. (Marine Rookie.)

Wait now.  How would you know that before he's lynched?  The only way you'd have proof he was town before then is if you know exactly who is scum... you and someone else.  Knight, that's an odd thing to say there.

Char- Any time you want to actually start playing, that'd be wonderful.

Because Toaster, if anyone had been paying attention, they would have noticed this
This isn't working out for me obviously, my job is to find out who is the mafia in this game, and if I, a Marine Rookie, must sacrafice himself in the name of proving who the mafia is, then very well.
I will not rest in peace until Siquo is dead, because he is scum.
I have nothing else to say apart from, see you in hell. (The dead chat)

I noticed that.. and unfortunately didn't say anything about it in the thread.

Ya, every body is going to be a Marine Rookie. Claiming it is just WIFOM. (One reason I did not oppose his lynch)

Of course, maybe Spit and I are the only Marine rookies, and therefore it didn't mean anything to anyone else. Or maybe the other Marine rookies just said nothing, like me.
His defeatism towards the end is exactly what proved he was town before he was lynched.  Its just those with the role like him (like myself) didn't do anything about it.

As far as Nolor's question I asked for the role claim to attempt to answer that question for myself. Of course you can't expect truth out of role claims, but what answers did come out could very well be enlightening. And just because it is a beginner game, there aren't likely to be a heavy variety of power roles.  Of course, scum wouldn't want information out there would they?

The issue here, I have a very great suspicion that Diabolous was purposefully the tipping point so as to prevent a no-lynch between two people he knew were town. It wasn't out of any great interest to help the town (which yes I understand the concept behind no-lynches being bad) that just made for perfect cover for Diabolous to get the job done of making sure a townie got lynched.  Which also explains why you are now attacking that line of reasoning quite fervently.

I started this post intending to keep my vote on Siquo, but the more I read back, the more fervently scummy Nolor seems.

Unvote Siquo

You're still on my list Siquo

Na I can almost assure you that every body is a Marine rookie, Org droped the ball on that one last time and it was one of the reasons we had to restart.

Looks like Org forgot to post the setup.  Iirc, the possible roles are Doctor, Cop, Mafia Roleblocker and Godfather.  There'll always be 2 scum.
Mafia will fakeclaim if we roleclaim.
Doctor or Cop will claim, and mafia will immediately have a target. It's better to wait until D3 at the very least (barring extenuating circumstances), to let the cop get his results.
Anyone who isn't a power role is the same generic role, assuming this is mafia (which it is).

Feel free to OMGUS me, scum. Under no circumstance is roleclaiming this early in a vanilla mafia game good for town.

Furthermore, scum would love to have that information out there. Who has what role is the only thing scum don't know! You'd be giving them every single one of our cards!!

Yer, the only time you tell the scum anything unless it is very important for the town to know is in vote mafia. A little extra info goes a long way when you have the other pieces.

Good to see another active player in the field.

Me being a "prime target" is actually useful, though. If I'm killed tonight, I was probably right in my suspicions, and if I'm alive, I probably wasn't. I was probably doing a pretty good job on spit, doing the scums work for them :(

I want to see those other guys in here, pronto.

Unvote Criptfeind.  Vote Knight85.

Blarg:  You were on last night but didn't post.  Trying to lurk your way to a win?
