Gods and Worshipper Count
IntroductionSamwell Glacialstakes sits at a wooden table in the tavern, yelling madly about the disparity of wealth in the local mountainhome, and how it all stems from the dwarves' confinement to the fortress Zealrelics. He's looking to recruit for a group Obok Tinöth, the Pillars of Equality, where poverty will become but a myth! By developing a settlement in Whirlrelic, new resources may be tapped, and the dwarves may one day see the world safe from the marauding goblins!
But that's a long way away. In the meantime, stout labour will be required to see us through the first few seasons. Then, and only then, would the mountainhome realise the value of establishing colonies and keeping the citizens happy!

Pre-Embark InformationThe year is 1116.
There are 44 dwarves alive in the world.
- The Northmost mountain hall, Zealrelics, on the South-Eastern continent is the only remaining bastion of Dwarven civilisation, held by The Lean Tower of the Savage Town.
- The rest of the mountain halls are minotaur dwellings of the Bush of Flames, weaving perilous tunnels throughout the mountains.
- The old goblin civilisation, the Squashed Monsters, holds a strong presence there, despite all of their kind dying out. The minotaurs they kidnapped from the Bush of Flames generations ago still pass on the goblin traditions to this day, and war with their neighbours, and they are led by a lizard fiend.
- The North-East landmass holds the ruins of Strapgorges, once home to the Quakes of Fire, until they were snuffed out by visits from several bronze colossi and hydras. For nearly a thousand years, no dwarf has struck the earth near there.
- In the North-West the goblins yet live on as the Scorpion of Chambers, protected and led by a fearsome lizard demon.
- Elves of the Growth of Folding, live safely in the South-West, far from others. We tend to have little to do with them.
- Near the centre of the world, ambitious humans of the Unseen Nation build their towns and roads to trade with anyone who will allow it. They, too, serve under a lizard fiend; its connection to that of the Squashed Monsters is unknown.
- Finally, two avesum towns of the Empire of Hooves are to be found at the foot of the mountains where the Quakes of Fire once lived. The avesae are as tall as a human, but have feathers and wings. They sometimes come 'to trade' but never bother to unload their goods, threatening war if we take them ourselves. They merely taunt us.
All these deities take the form of dwarves:
- ♀ Limul Paintcrystal, deity: wealth, jewels, minerals, metals
- ♂ Rithzâm, deity: fortresses
- ♂ Bothon, deity: mountains, caverns
- ♂ Ingish Embraceglimmered, deity: love
- ♂ Kìrar, deity: forgiveness
- ♀ Tun the Gloved Key of Arches, deity: crafts
- ♀ Âtrid Squeezedsieged, deity: boundaries, rebirth, death, war
In addition, the current queen, Mörul Lulledshield, faithfully worships the hydra
- ♀ Impcloo Gallbreaches the Hideous Blossom: strength, rebirth, muck
I will be using the following mods:
- Minotaurs - distinct from the minotaurs in the game, these are a civilised people
- Avesae - a bird people, like humans with limited weaponry but the [FLIER] token, and therefore they don't trade properly
- pigs - a common domestic creature - breed like dogs, and larger in size, but not trainable for war
- tortoises - a common domestic creature - grow slowly but steadily, slower speed, provides shell
- Dwarven training buildings
- smaller bronze colossi (it's possible to kill them now)
