I'm almost certain there has been a scenario of death by first frame before, but I don't know where the thread is.

Also, I've heard of a player who normally caved in his wagon to drop it 1 z-level so that it would be protected from enemies.

Once, he started directly above the magma pipe, but didn't know it.

Me, back in the last 2D release. I had previously had a thriving fort and decided to end it all. Flooded the world with magma. For real, not the piddly lava sprinklers you young'uns use nowadays. Well, I decide to reclaim and see what happens. Apparently, the dwarves never noticed that their feet were melting off on the way to the reclaim site. I start the game to find that everyone instantly dies in the heat.
