Sorry for the late update, I'm slightly ill since yesterday...

Go into Metal Mode!
Make a spear-headbang-combo-attack!
Raaaaaaagh!

You spear-headbang-raaaagh the pond grabber!
hit: d6=2, evade: d6=6
hit: d6=5, evade: d6=6
hit: d6=4, evade: d6=4
Spear, headband and raaagh all miss...

>_

Grab it to prevent escape. How does it like the shoe being on the other foot?!

You grab the pond grabber. You fellow dwarves try to kick it, but fail...
struggle: d6=4, resist: d6=5
The pond grabber struggles against your grip, but you hold it firmly.

>_
(What a glorious combat turn! Those dice are evil. >_<)

>HOLD THEM OFF SO THE GUARD MY LIVE!

You heroically block the mole dogs' way!
hit: d6=1, evade: d6=4 - The naked mole dog misses you!
hit: d6=3, evade: d6=2, dmg: 2d10=6 - The naked mole dog hits you upper body for 1 damage!
hit: d6=6, evade: d6=3, dmg: 2d10=7 - The naked mole dog hits you legs, dealing 1 point of damage!

Again! Jump-spear attack! (jump up, hold the spear vertical, and land on the creature with the spear piercing it).

You know there will be a roll to jump successfully, a roll to land successfully and a roll to actually not miss the grabber. One fails - you fail. I advise less complex but more overwhelming attacks, like the spear-headbang-raaagh one => if at least one roll doesn't fail, the whole thing will be useful!

Again! Jump-spear attack! (jump up, hold the spear vertical, and land on the creature with the spear piercing it).

You jump...
The pond grabber looks at you. Horrifiedly!

jump check(>3): d6=4
hit: d6+1=5, evade: d6-1=3, dmg: 1d12+6=16
And hit the pond grabber's body with the force of gravity for 4 points of damage!

>_

Savagely punch it!

hit: d6=3, evade: d6=1, dmg: 1d8=8
You savagely punch the pond grabber to death!
Iron Boatbucket, Fish Cleaner, is more experienced!
You are a novice striker now!

"Whoa, you guys saved my life! Thank you sooo much!"
"If I just knew a way how to show my gratitude..."

>_

>fight in till death, I'm taking some of these with me.

You attack the wounded mole dog:
hit: d6-1=0, evade: d6=6
Argh! Those dice don't like heroism...

hit: d6=5, evade: d6=2, dmg: 2d10=5 - the naked mole dogs hits your head for 1 damage!
hit: d6=3, evade: d6=5 - you evade the mole dog's attack!
hit: d6=3, evade: d6=2, dmg: 2d10=17 - the naked mole dog bites off your legs! You die!

You die as a hero. Dwarfy!
During your lifetime you helped to slay 1 beast and saved 1 dwarf! You trained two skills to novice level!
You'll get an entry on the highscore list (see first post)

Next on the waiting list is Nuke9.13

I lol'd so hard at the 'savage punch' image.

I'm still laughing.

And awww, one dwarf dead. I'm closer to my turn :3

Yeah, the savage punch part was awesome. Plus Siq's normal expression looks like one of utter shock in that panel.  :P

"Oh, I'm sure you'll think of something. In the meantime, is there a place I could butcher this? That dwarf in the workshops said he wanted body parts, I wonder if pond grabber tentacles will do?"
