This planet has been used before. Initial scout teams reported several buried structures, which they were unable to enter. Your job is clear: find these structures (the coordinates given are close to your camp), find out if there are more, and try to decipher their purpose. A team of researchers is sent with you. A few outposts have lost contact, the last messages show that the crew has rebelled against their captain for unknown reasons. An orbital bombardement would cost the Spectre several hours worth of fual as well as a few MwH in beam power, and, well, you guys are cheaper. Show those inconsiderate bastards who's boss.

The scans of the Spectre show a few poor mineral deposits, but those go barely 5 meters deep. We need a plantery sensor system, with sensors in a shaft at regular intervals, every 50 meter should do. The sensors are provided for you, but keep in mind that you'll have to pay them if you break them. Of course, everything you find on the way down is yours and yours alone.

The supply shuttle will arrive tomorrow, and the pilot will stay for the night while the automated systems load and unload. Please post your actions.

On the ground station, have 4 engineers plan out a magma-powered industrial sector. Considering this is a volcanic planet and the magma here is supposedly a HELL of a lot hotter than Earths, it'd work, I think. So yeah, make em design something like that.
We've arrived on this hellhole. Barren and steaming, it'll fry ya skin in five-tenths of a second, it will. My first priorities are survival, and after we get a farming system up I'll speak with me friend, Inteuniso about finding and exploiting whatever water deposits there are on this planet.. Though admittedly, there's probably very, very few.

Acanthus, we will have to manufacture weapons, and digging implements. Why don't I have four of my engineers make picks and swords from that plate metal? Meanwhile, I'll go out and search for soil samples, ores, rivers, etc. You can have your researchers work on whatever project you want; I'd like some analysation of whatever I find, but I'll leave you to it.

Have my researchers create pulse rifles, and personally oversee the testing of that drone I made earlier, unless I don't have it.
