Do you have kaolinite? I think that can also be used as a ceramic?

Is there any difference in value between alpaca, llama, and sheep wool? I'd like to consolidate my herds.

Is he in a burrow, or otherwise unable to get to them? Do you have cloth of all kinds? Is it possible he wants more than one item of each?

Moods asking for cloth tend to want a specific kind of cloth.  Plant, Wool, or silk.  If you don't have one of those three try to obtain some.  They don't specify, but they can often only want one kind.

P.S. Makes surface forts a real PITA when they end up wanting silk.

Also check with "t" over the workshop to see what items he has already claimed.

Will dwarves eat plump helmet men corpses raw and unbutchered? Cos I've been reading conflicting reports on this. I suppose I should test it out with Dwarven SCIENCE, which I will do soon if I get around to it.

They will not.  While Plump Helmet Man tissue is technically edible, dwarves won't eat it because it's not an item type they recognize as food.  And they won't butcher Plump Helmet Men because they won't butcher sentients, and even if they do Plump Helmet Man tissue doesn't have the right tags to drop edible meat or plant objects when butchered.

wiki says that "blocks... bricks"  means stone/metal blocks.  if he wont take the clay (which should count as stone) make a metal block.

Sending criminals to work themselves to death in the silk mines is a common punishment in my aboveground settlements.

Good for them that the most common silk mine demise is often quick, painless, and eight-eyed.

Make a stone block first.  It's easier, and more likely to be what's wanted.

I've embarked in a desert (on a horse with no name) with a river/stream running through the top left corner. For some reason all the vermin type fish (lungfish etc.) are flying around the river, not in the river. As in they are wondering around on the ground. Anyone else get this glitch/undocumented feature?

Also, in other (non desert) embarks, none of the murky pools ever have any turtles in them. Are turtles MIA for anyone else?
