My elf lost her left hand to a night troll. I was pretty horrified when I was grabbing my left glove and left gauntlet on the ground then saw my own left hand and finally realized it was actually gone.

My adventurer no longer fights with a sword, but with a large iron dagger she found lying in a dungeon. Although the left hand is gone, she uses a shield at the same time as the dagger. Although the game doesn't realize it, I just assume the shield is strapped to her left lower arm instead of being in her right hand.

She now adorns her right hand with all the jewelry she can get her hand on. She's got at least 5 bracelets and a copper thumb ring at the moment. She does it to signify the importance of her remaining hand and that this is the hand she smites giants with. She has killed at least three Giants with the large iron dagger, by herself.

Eventually I hope adventurers will get the ability to burn buildings to the ground.

I looked up a tower with Legends Viewer and it claimed that 21 non-animated creatures live there (should be the necromancers, right?) but when I went there I found 1 dwarf, the leader, as well as the author of every book and the slab in there.

Made my first vampire adventurer.  It's cool, sucking blood, but there's something weird.  You know how you can build up your wrestling skill and speed really fast by autowrestling somebody who can't fight back?  I tried doing that, the wrestling did go up as intended, but my speed's going down.  I kept drinking blood, but that wasn't helping.  I've gone from 1320 speed to around 1290.

That's a bug with vampire adventurers, iirc. Eventually your speed will drop to a mind-numbing speed. People joke it's the weight of the new teeth in your head.

Playing on the MHU mod..

- Quick travel out of my fortress. Get slaughtered by zombie ravens.
- Re-trys to get out. Get slaughtered by emu's
- Trys to leave again.. Gets slaughtered by dingos.
- Finally makes it into the human fortress, Begins looting.
- Saves, then leaves the fortress.. Gets killed by jaggi's(First time seeing a mh3 monster)
- Re-trys.. Quick travels out of the fortress.. And gets attacked by a Yian Garuga.
... Oh piss... And this is where I left off

Other then that.. Everyone should try this mod. MHU for the win.

A mere peasant, paralyzed in his left arm thanks to an Ostrich Cock, just erased an entire fort of wrestlers on his own. Grab, choke, strangle, bash face with silver war hammer, proved to be very effective in single combat.

I think the floor was littered with a collection of 2's before I even died. It was the first time in DF that I've literally been instagibbed where there was no throwing involved.

Shit. I tried to become a necromancer with a harpy character. Fought my way through a tower, only to fail.

Now I suddenly realize; harpies are immortal anyway. Damnit.

I had two adventures today.

The first ended in a labyrinth. Never again.

The second ended in the ruins of my old fort, Puzzletin, thanks to a goblin master thief. At least my human adventurer got to taste dwarven wine before he died (dragging that rock pot around with me wasn't worth the weight though. A shame you cannot fill your waterskin from a rock pot or barrel).
