Dig a one square room, and channel the bottom. Put a grate there. Drop a cat in.

Underneath it, put a craftdwarf workshop. Train a legendary dwarf. Let the cat in the ceiling watch him mastercraft.

Dwarf Fortress 8: I have no mouth and I must haul

This got passed over pretty quickly, and I'm not sure anyone appreciated the brilliance of it, vis a vis the cat bug.

I know, dude... It was my favorite also. I guess even a blind squirrel finds nuts eventually.

Back on topic ...

I seriously got excited when my wife wanted to buy a pickaxe.  I also look at our maul in a whole new light.

My wife says that if DF is what it takes to get me to garden, it's worth it ...

So did I, but Dwarf Fortress 8: There's a cat in the ceiling isn't quite as funny as the other one.

...or is it?

No. It isn't.

Disregarding the thred derailment,
Blacksmithing is fun and if you can't get whatever it is to hold, you can always bring out the modern technolgy.

Dwarf Fortress 24: Digging to China.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I was a watching a show on the history channel I think and it said "To find out, we have to dig deeper."  The effect on my brain should be obvious.

I have a theory that the progress on DF asymptotes at 1.0. In other words, we will see DF 0.90.00, then 0.99.00, then 0.99.99, then 0.99.99.99...

IT WILL NEVER STOP GROWING

How is Toady going to make anything past DF:3 when Armok.ai has gained sentience and is preparing to flood the world in lava?
