Procrastinating 75% over.

Update:
You Purchase several M2A2 Howitzers.
You recruit and train just enough men for a company.
Your treasury is empty.

Heads: An event is happening.
92 (Damn you RNG!)
Your troops heading towards the frontlines happens upon an abandoned base of the Australian Military Reserves, and find several abandoned A4 Centurions. Weird, you thought these were phased out around 1990, but these still fair well against light tanks, and can handle an ordinary Heavy Tank in a group. Unfortunately the Tank Crews have to be trained later.

And now, the Attack.
Base Number: 24
Again, your forces have the better ground.
(+10)
But the enemy is entrenched.
(-10)
They're just Australian Army Reserves (Militia), and your troops outnumber them.
(+15)
And your shelling cuts off supplies.
(+15)
Remaining Number: 54
Result: Narrow Victory.
Your forces fight a fierce battle, the Militia and Mercs taking the most of the damage. The Militia company is wiped out except for a few platoons, which participated with the mercs. They join the ordinary Regulars. Most of the enemy retreat, back farther east. It doesn't seem like they're coming back for 2 months (turns).
-1 Militia Company.

800$ Acquired.
Tax Income: Same.
Resource Income: Same.

And, if we can, do a run of T-shirts with the message "We didn't kill the governor. We shoved him in a hole" on them.

Mine the approaches, why waste militia when bombs are cheaper?

Oh, what's that? militia are cheaper than bombs?
Buy some sniper rifles, and some armour piercing rifles, some elite types to shoot them, and a sea of militia to hide them in...

Huh? You say this is a democracy?
I submit the above proposals for consideration by the committee...

We don't have mines, sniper rifles or armor piercing rifles. They don't exist in game. You can see what we do have here. Second spoiler, "Units" is basically the shop.

Purchase one unit of Howitzers and one unit of Regulars. Everyone into the bunkers. Howitzers are far behind bunkers and shell incoming troops, Centurions cause chaos and break up enemy lines whenever possible, but don't endanger themselves.

Look, not many arms dealers are willing to sell you their whole stock until you become more powerful. (And then they will see you as a cash cow. Take half of the continent first.)

Hey, when we take over Kapooka, will we gain access to the Army's stuff?
