Touching acid=burn. Ice=frozen water, water+acid=less acid concentration, less acid concentration=less burns.

Sure, rubbing ice on our chest is a great idea!  :D Especially the important parts

The chest is sizzling and bubbling but it's not falling apart. The rope still wrapped around it is soaked, and is smoking faintly. The smell is horrible, like someone is pulling out your nosehairs with dozens of spent matches. The front of the chest is face-down, so you can't see it without moving the chest, but you remember seeing a lock built into the front.

You run back and get some ice, and carefully rub it on the chest. The ice isn't melting very much. There are now no more blocks of ice around the Fish Pool.

Hm, flip the chest then attempt to force the lock with our shield. (bash the lock off[with the sharp bottom of our shield])

You use your shield to flip the chest over onto its bottom. The front of the chest does feature a built-in lock. You try to bash the chest open with your shield but the chest is too sturdy.

You try the Brass Moon Key in the lock of the red chest. The key is too small and doesn't turn properly inside. Clearly the key that opens this lock is bulkier.

Throw two bowls of acid in water pool.
Throw one bowl of water.
I have no idea what you are trying to do but I trust you more than JoshBrickstien or Flagrarus. I vote for this.

Hey, why don't you trust me? What did I do so horrible? -sigh-
And phantom, it's not like you didn't post a lot in a row for some sections. But it is of no matter. I don't want to argue.

Veto.
Continue exploring the rooms past the wasp room. There might be a key, or something else usefull there, before we adventure down deeper. I simply don't like the sound of chanting down below us, we had best be prepared.

What? At worst we could encounter liches who will make us undead slaves. ;D

Veto. There only seems to be one more room. And, you can imagine that a Giant Cave Spider will be in it. You know, since we had to fight Giant Bees and a Giant Desert Scorpion to get that far. We should grab some liquid nitrogen first.

Grab liquid nitrogen first and then go past the wasp room

Thing is; not only can it be a bigger spider, but it could also be a cave dragon... Or something to that extent.

Also; edited my post.

Before we go can we do a quick check on the chest for exposed hinges?  If there are exposed hinges we might be able to melt them off with acid.
