I've played almost every map that you guys have listed, and still occasionally play the Broken Alliances map, which is really the only good RoC compatible mod.

In fact, I help moderate a WC3 forum over at PoLlama.com

It's been a while but I seriously WTFed at some of the abilities that can be set to auto use especially when other which you will always want to use as soon as they become available can't be set to auto use.
This is one of those things that really piss me off. It does seem like they randomly picked powers that get auto cast. The undead spider and orc wolf rider both have the exact same skill, but the spider can auto cast and the wolf can't.

Never played starcraft, hopefully SC 2 will be just as good as the first.
The spider has another skill that it doesn't autocast. Non spellcaster units rarely have more then one ability you personally need to use.

actually, the wolf, unlike the spider, can also target ground units, I think.

And the spider is autocast in no small measure because the undead lack ranged units with AA capabilities otherwise.

My biggest problem with WC3 is how some heroes has rigged moves.
Blademasters(Wind Walk, seriously. When there is a whole strategy based on one ability...), Keepers of the Grove(Entangling Roots, one of the best herokillers), Mountain King(THE best herokiller in the game, period).

Ahh, ITT. Now that was a fun game. Me and my friend used to split off and make our own team that would usually win. We were so good the other teams regularly accused us of cheating.

Yep, the wolves can use it on ground too.

The undead have gargoyles for AA(which don't do a good job), and frosties can hit air, but most air can kill them quickly.

A strategy is to go spiders to frosties, which covers air, siege, ground and AA.

I'd never done battle.net before, so last night I decided to take a look at it.  Didn't make an account, but I did skim over the user agreement.

Just what are "characters" and what's the deal with "hardcore" characters?  I suspect I could look it up in the manual, but I don't know where my copy of that is.

Battle.net; It's like 4chan, only if you leave it adds a loss to your record.
I swear, you see more whiny, arrogant, obnoxious twelve year-olds in ten minutes on B.net than you do spending a day as a substitute teacher in an elementary school.

DoBRP or SotDRP anyone? I don't remember quite as many problems with whiny kiddies hosting lesser known maps like RPs or Genesis of Empires. Though I haven't played wc3 in a year; I miss it a bunch.

I personally love how TDs were cool in wc3 before they were cool on the internet at large.

What's Garena?

A client for a whole lot of different multiplayer games.
Main reason I used it, was that I actually had lagfree games there.
Offers a lot of other functions to enchance your gaming experience.

The lag reminds me, I used to be one of the primary hosters of Parasite a year or two ago.  If you've played lots of parasite, there's a decent chance we've played together.  What was fun was that Parasite had the dreaded server split, which meant if you killed me everyone got disconnected.  I never had to worry about getting killed early and getting separated from all the people I usually played with.

Made some people mad sometimes.
