Try uninstalling, deleting the entire Aurora folder (after saving the database to another location if you want to keep it), and then reinstalling it.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

That's what I did, and that's what is causing the problem.

Did you install the patch as well?

By the way, he means the "AuroraUpdate491" zip inside the install zip, which contains all the image files, not the 5.20 patch. Copying them into your folder should fix your problem. After that, you can update to 5.20.

Did you install the patch as well?
More specifically, did you follow the installation instructions? There are, IIRC, three steps to actually installing the game to a working state.

Yeah I got those problems, just download Aurora 4.91 and copy/paste everything except for the database and .exe into your aurora folder

What is a LP? Because there is a orange dot labeled LP1 that seems to be in the same orbit around the star as the gas giant which my homemoon orbits.

LP=Lagrange Point.
Quote from: Aurora Wiki Glossary page.
LP
Lagrange Point. An intra-system jump point found in the L5 lagrange point of super-jovians or massive gas giants (about sixty degrees behind the planet in its orbit)

Essentially, they act like jump points to other Lagrange Points in the system.

Ah, okay, thanks!  :D

EDIT: Wait what, the increase fuel production research has dissapeared form the construction and production research tab? And no, none of my scientists are busy researching it and I don't recall ever researching it, weird.

EDIT2: Huh, it came back when I finished researching improved mining production, weird.

Either in the system map(F3) under the minerals tab,
Or in System View(F9) after you click on the body.
There is a chance that Mars has no minerals.

Yeah, I get things to research in the wrong tabs. Not sure how to fix it whilst in-game, but it can be annoying if your best researcher cant research what he/she should be able to with the bonus.

There is a chance that nothing was found. Not every planet will have minerals.

I've surveyed Mars, the moon, mercury, Venus and Deimos. So far the only one with minerals is venus, and they're all accessibility 0.1  :-\.

You can create geologist teams and put them on colonies/planets and if they have a high enough rating they might find some minerals on a planet [sometimes you can find a lot if the ratings high enough as it can repeatively find minerals if your lucky].. But i wouldn't count on that getting your supply of minerals.
I would suggest you increase the amount of surveying your doing in scale, and make lots more survey ships.. also i would suggest surveying outside your home system.. You may find enough minerals scattered around to hold you off for awhile, but sometimes the Sol system doesn't get enough to last you decades... let alone a century or two [provided you actually plan on playing that long..]
However occasionly you'll hit a jackpot planet with millions of a bunch of different minerals if you go and survey other systems.
