Don't expect a bonsai tree to grow the miniature planting it.
Trust your calculator. It's something to count on.
Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

My brother has been here distracting me today, so I haven't had time to sit down and get it done. This is first on my to do list so I should get it done tonight.

Course I said the same thing last night, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten things.

Claim the kerosene. Pour it on the bird. It will feel what happens when I am angry. Snap a finger, creating a spark that ignites it. Take care not to damage anything else. Freeze it in time. Put the eternally-burning giant turkey at my desk and marvell at the beauty of a burning bird eternally screaming in agony.

In short: craft an eternally-flaming bird.
attempt: 100 ;o
quality: 84
base influence: 96+84+21(kerosene)+15(wher)=216
Blood fills your vision, as an immortal rage suffuses you. Grabbing the Kerosene you begin to laugh, darkly. Yanking the bird by the neck you douse the creature with the liquid and snap your fingers. And then everything goes black.

When you awaken there is no sign of the fat turkey. Your work area is glowing red hot, and you have no idea what exactly happened. In the center of the fading orange and yellow, you find a sooty black circle. And in the center is a single red egg, speckled with orange.

+ 1 hot to the touch flaming red and orange egg(alive, you think)!Base influence: 216!
- unit of Kerosene !Base influence: 42!
- Large, fat Wher, with purple feathers(alive) !Base influence: 31!

drop gear... kick it into group inv.

claim seeds

Craft a Katana.
attempt: 24+20=44
Getting rid of the gear, you grab the seeds from group storage and contemplate sword manufacture. You have a blade, and you have a hilt, one would think it would be a simple assembly, however, the blade is made with a long piece of metal for setting into the hilt, and the one hilt you have seems to be a solid piece of plastic wrapped in cow leather. You decide instead of trying to force things, to take a break and think about possible ways to connect them.

I gather plants of various types.
attempt: 12+10=22
You leave the ship and begin to look at the various plantlife outside. The fire lizards help, popping in and out bringing back samples of various items, but you just can't seem to decide that any of the plants they or you find are of any use. Frustrated, you eventually return to the ship empty handed.

With the few materials available, there are few things I can make.

I shall modify the lotus so that it elevates(likely through wind, or some invisible force, although physical lifting is fine, too) those who stand above it, with the height highest closest to the centre. It might be useful to some civilization(Reach trees? Good vantage point? As a sort of podium? Elevator?).
Depending on the result, it might be merely an interesting object(if it barely lifts things), or a full space elevator(Unlikely).
attempt: 17+20=37
Planning to modify your giant lotus is all well and good. Until you realize that your current workspace will not allow you to raise the thing to it's full length, and while you could turn things to the side something stops you from doing so. Perhaps you might be able to move the lotus someplace else to test things and then alter it then when you are ready.

Man, I keep getting epic success rolls and then failing my quality rolls.
Put Threads, Mud, and Water in group inventory
Gather
attempt: 12+20+1=33
Putting the items from your inventory into group storage you head out into the swamps fighting the muck and mud, hoping to find something of further use out in the mess of a world. A warm moist fog has moved in and cloaks the area. You spend the day, wet, irritated, and unsuccessful.
+16 gather exp(~Levelup!~)

I put all but one Nautilus in Group Inventory.
I butcher the Nautilus.
attempt: 39
Putting most of the strange shellfish into group storage, you turn to the last one humming idly to yourself preparing to butcher. However, the crafty little creature senses your attitude, and retreats back into the shell. One of the most impressive parts of the creature, you don't want to just break it open, and spend the rest of the day trying to think of methods to get the creature out. Eventually you have to let it be, at least for now.

Awesome!

I would like to hatch the egg, but don't want to screw up... So I will try some basic hatching knowledge first, and I'll need practice eggs... Claim a nautilus and make it younger, until it becomes an egg again!

Craft an egg from a nautilus.

I'll name my dragons Dragnar for the Blue and Scylla for the Green. Aesthetic reasons only.

I claim the Swamp water and Purify it all. Craft it into pure water I guess.

Yes! I claim this dragon in my name!(which sounds similar to dragon through sheer coincidence, or at least, it wasn't intentional)
