I'm considering coming back in the clan.  The game's come a long way since I played.

Öx, for anyone still around from original Bottleneck.  I built the house on the other side of the W ridge, S of the outer wheat field.  The one that hugged the ridgeline.

I left about the time that carts were added and the big wall of fire was built.  I have kind of kept up with the messageboards since then, but have not seen a compelling reason to resume playing.  Until now, with the mapwipe equalizing everyone.

I would like to be PM'ed the DF clan hearthsecret.

I do not promise to join.  However, I do promise to keep the hearthsecret secret.

Original Bottleneck was pretty Socialist.  Not only shared resources, but shared manufactured goods.  I find it interesting how capitalist the game is now.

Lots more to do.  In some ways, easier.  But in others, nor difficult, or at least more of a timesink.  Getting like a traditional for-pay MMO's grind.

I don't really understand quality levels yet.  I'll need to play around a while to grok them.

I PMed the Hearth Secret to Ox, Pathos, and Zchris...hopefully you guys didnt get a double PM from I and Talvara, but I figured it would be better to get it twice than to not get it at all.

So close to inkweed... so close! Apparently nil found one with 14 perception and 23 exploration, but needs more to be able to find them regularly. I just got 13 per and 24 exp (he also increased his exploration some), so hopefully tomorrow we can start some more mapping. Also, I think you multiply the two as the check to see if you can see things and if we get 25 exploration you only need 16 perception to get to the 400 difficulty (and rustroot). Much more manageable than 20 perception.
