A lot more heavy metal, but I like the melodic Blck dwarf riffs more I guess.

Been listening to Katatonia recently, especially the two records where Michael Akerfeldt was involved.

The lead singer of Candlemass looks and sounds like Jack Black.

Hammers of Misfortune's The August Engine is responsible for my brain matter being splattered against my wall.

The matter is splattered in the image of a bird claw.

If you really want to troll a Dimmu Borgir fan, say that your favourite song on Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia is Fear and Wonder. The band is awesome but the fans combine the sheer arrogance and boneheadedness of "kvlt" with the wannabe art critic aloofness and lack of logic common in fandoms of bands that produce more then 1 genre of music. Kind of like what happens when you talk to warhammer fans about videogame adaptions of "their" franchise and wether similarity equals theft.

What? That's a nice song, IMHO.

For Black Metal, anyway, I only listen to Dimmu Borgir for the melody and stuff. Good lyrics are something else.
In Dimmu, each second line is something like 'fuck you god, lies, treachery, whatever'. But Black Metal is more than that. Black Metal is hatred. Black Metal is negative emotion. Black Metal is damn war, the longing to fucking kill people for what they do to you, and what they do to others.

Black Metal, one assumes, is rage embodied.

 ;D

Kinda OD'd on them a while back, but it's probably about time to go on another binge.

I do that a lot... listen to nothing but one band for a while, then switch to another, and so on.

I've never watched one of their videos... The album art's pretty freaky though.
