I'm just feeling particularly drained today for some reason. Just don't feel like doing anything at all.

Spoiler: NSFW bleh (click to show/hide)

At least I can drown my sorrows and incredibly mild hangover in pickled cornichons with garlic and chili infusion.

And autocorrect tried to change "cornichons" to "unicorns", which is mildly entertaining.

Just blame the alcohol. Alcohol is your friend, it's always happy to take the blame for such occurrences.

My Sad, since I'm in here: I haven't drawn anything, or produced any other sort of art, in what seems like a long time.
I read a couple of comic collections/graphic novels from the library today - one of which turned out to be really, really good - and they've got me thinking about my own artistic career, dead before it began.
Actually improving my art skills to the point where I'd be happy with them seems impossible enough, and then there's the thought of having to summon and maintain the necessary motivation to keep any sort of creative output going...

...Maybe I should just buy a sketchbook. If nothing else, perhaps I could trick myself into drawing when I need to procrastinate on other things. Life is really just a long series of consecutive procrastinations, anyway, with the ultimate end-goal being death.
I just want to create some worthwhile artworks (whatever form they may take) along the way.

...Huh, that really turned into a whole thing. Guess I needed to vent without realising it. Thanks. Pinning down vague feelings of discontent and unfulfillment and putting them in words can be pretty helpful.

Also, I said I hadn't produced any art in a long time, but it occurs to me that I did paint some rocks whilst visiting family recently. Don't know if that counts as art but I figure I should mention it, just in case.

I intend to procrastinate as long as possible on that old end goal.

That sounds rather like a loveless relationship.

Now, I've been in as many relationships as I have been on moon missions, but I'm not sure that staying in it would be particularly great for your mental health.
I must echo this. Don't stay in a bad relationship because society tells you that being single is the worst thing ever.

There is undoubtedly, 100% someone else nearby that makes you feel better than "nausea". While I know I'd move, it's up to you whether you'd like a new roommate more or less than that situation.

I must echo this. Don't stay in a bad relationship because society tells you that being single is the worst thing ever.

On the other hand, being single is the worst thing ever.  Feeling like I'm never going to have someone love me again is a major part of my current misery.  A life without love in any case, is awful, and you can't find new love while you're trapped in a loveless relationship. Genuinely though, make sure that the problem isn't you. If I had known that I was depressed, I would've tried a lot harder to be a good husband and father instead of ending up entirely miserable, rather than mostly blergh with occasional upticks.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.

Problem is, she owns the apartment, and I've got a mental illness that eradicates my motivation, energy, and initiative. Which, combined with living in a relationship that knocks me down even more, basically means I never get the chance to summon the titanic effort it'd take for me to disengage from this train wreck and find a place of my own somewhere else; something I've never done before in my life.

I've also really never been the one to end a relationship before, and it hurts because she's decidedly in love with me and I honestly do care about her. We just... Do not work together as a pair. I basically checked out after two years, we've currently been together for five. I've been "actively" trying to move for the past two years, because year number 3 of "well, maybe I'm going through a phase and things will get better if I focus on the positive aspects" failed miserably.

Do I have anything to show for any of it? No, of course not. That would require someone who could actually handle adult responsibilities.

I enjoy being single, though. I'm officially asexual.

Sixteen. Most kids of my age have a (platonic, obviously) relationship with someone else. I don't.

Not necessarily for lack of trying though.
