You guys do realise that as soon as you start prepending your internet hugs with "platonic", people are going to have a big laugh at your expense once you forget or get tired of doing so, right? I know I certainly am.

As for Sads, well, the main one I can think of right now is that I'm going to my home city just two days after a really good gig at which I could catch up with many friends both old and new. I don't really want to reschedule, since I'm travelling for free on that day and I don't get paid until the day after... but still, it's sad.
Especially since one of the bands is from America, they're cool guys, I haven't seen them in years and they doubtless need as many people as possible to attend their Australian tour so they don't lose as much money as they did the last time they came here. :-\

Let them say platonic or not. The sentiment is there either way, no reason to laugh at them.

Man, I really am a creature of deadlines. I had all this time to do something in and it's only once I perceive time as running out that I actually resolve to do anything. Need to work on that.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Maybe they'll assume they are all big fans of greek philosophers?

Various factor culminated in one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. Not that I'm gonna tell you lot, of course, but the cringe is real.

I'll pitch in a Stoic hug. I'll just be standing here indifferently to whether you hug me or not is what I'm saying.

I only have an Epicurean hug, but I'm not sure if I should give it or not because I feel sufficiently content without giving it and I don't know how much more content you will become after receiving it.

Then I also have a Cyrenaic hug, but it's decidedly unplatonic and we might get banned.

BFEL went to renew his temps today. Had to re-take written test.
That's ok, I passed it before!

BFEL failed the test.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Depends. Took me around a year to get over my first stupid high-school crush, which lasted for two on top of that. These things tend to take time.
