Yeah, I'm definitely sick. Garlic tea, don't fail me now!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Thank you, mother, for going completely out of your way to make me feel guilty about a supremely mundane meaningless little mistake I made.

You get to feel tough, and I get to feel like shit.
Really, thanks mom.

Ah, body dysphoria. That reminds me that I have to choose between being uncomfortable about my body half of the time with how disgustingly male it is, or undergoing HRT (which I apparently can due to being genderqueer) and go through a second puberty as well as becoming sterile.

So apparently there was some bullshit at my grandfather's involving someone putting up signs on his property. I can't remember how it ended up escalating from there (I wasn't there) but the police ended up being called and the ly attempted to arrest him. He requested that they not handcuff him from the back because of medical issues, so naturally they decided that handcuffing him in the back was a fucking great idea. He ended up having a heart attack, and is currently in the hospital.

Fuck. That guy is pretty old, being a grandfather. And police don't even listen to his request. Police brutality yet again gains a point in being shitty.

In other news, i am too scared to check my wallet ; ;

Recently a Polish family moved onto the street and on the way home from work noticed someone had tipped all their potted plants and other garden stuff over. Sucks regardless, but I'm hoping it wasn't motivated by their being immigrants. This town is the least diverse place I've ever lived and contains more than it's share of racists (hadn't encountered it much before).

Jussayin Cinder, having a gay person say 'Disgustingly male' makes me feel worse about my body.

People hold different standards for themselves & their preferred gender I think.

I mean, I don't see you heterosexual always trying to look as pretty as the girls that you like.

and i don't see you homosexuals both not categorizing people by whom they prefer to fuck and not making sweeping generalizations for shits and giggles

you have some kind of natural affinity towards a us vs them mentality and basically go slap yourself

In unrelated news, I've been realizing that my life is kinda in shambles and my personal development has been on hold for a while now. Hell, I'm even thinking about going to therapy for my anxiety and such.
I'm not sure why, but I get the sense that the next little while is gonna suck.

I kinda worry about my carreer as a lawyer, since the field is getting ever more competitive and the huge firms are taking most of the market and most freelance profissionals are being pushed aside. Of course, I have other carreer options going on and some quite interesting possibilities comming until the end of the year. My financial situation is stable, but I fear it may take a while before I can move on to the next stages of my life with my girlfriend. Which is ok since she's still finishing college and has to get a job still, just a bit of unreasonable anxiety on my part, I guess.
