"My socks are dirty, buy me some new ones."
Some people actually operate like this.

Erm, yeah... like myself. >.>
I just keep forgetting to buy new ones. Goddamn.
Washing 'em doesn't stop them from smelling bad, and just transfers the stench to anything else in the machine. My mother used to wash my socks using this long, arduous method involving a bunch of hardcore detergent, a bucket, bleach and a long wooden spoon to stir it with, but that sounds suspiciously like hard work. I'll just buy new socks.

.-. Mine always come out smelling not terrible..
Have you tried throwing a cup of bleach in with em?
Takes away the smell and replaces it with the smell of pool water that lingers on you all day and makes the socks uncomfortable

There's a difference between "My socks are dirty" and "These socks seriously need to be thrown away".

If the smell has gotten to the point of reproducing, they need to be thrown away.

I was talking about people of the first category.

This assumes people have access to a washer, but yes. ((I, for one, don't. I have a rather large supply of socks that I cycle through, that I can only get cleaned maybe once a month, or every other month.))

It was a joke, anyway. I have a feeling I probably shouldn't do it that way.

Hrmm. I'm taking a class on the theories and reasons why people commit crime. As a part of the class, we have to post on a discussion board about an article and how it relates to what we talked about in class each week.

Queue a few articles featuring a pair of twins who both commit a crime. In one line in one of these articles it's mentioned that they are both either gay or bisexual.
Of the three responses posted so far, two of them have stated something along the lines of "I don't think that they were born with genes that may commit crimes, but I think that some underlying causes may have. For example, their homosexuality may have triggered them to commit crime." Meanwhile I'm just sitting here all grumpy because hello, I'm sitting right here.

Wait, so they basically said... 'I don't think they were genetically wired to commit crimes, but they were genetically/hormonally wired to commit crimes (by being homosexual, which as we all know leads to getting a free volcano lair from The Evil Gay Mastermind League)'? *slowclap*, people, *slowclap*.

Why is the orientation of the criminals relevant in the first place?

What the fuck!
Because of sexual preference.
My sexual preference doesnt make me commit crimes.... my drug preferences do.
I hate the shit people say about homosexuals in a negative way, just because they are doing what they want.
I also hate feminisim and masculinists.

Its about equal human rights, not making special classes for races, sexes or any preference

Page views? Gay bank robbers are going to attract more viewer attention than hetero bank robbers, all other things being equal. Least in most places, anyway. I mean, the former is considerably more rare than the latter, after all, so it's more unusual, thus more people pay attention, thus more money for the news shills.

It was only mentioned briefly in one of the three articles about these people that we were given, but people feel like that's what they need to focus on. It's irritating. >_>

I think I remember doing a few of that kind of thing, it's a programming thing, right? They are super tough if I remember correctly, but you just have to keep trying! I find that lots of paper and drawing usually helps me personally. Good luck!

I went to a Family Video out of nostalgia, a cute girl that works there said hi to me and initiates small talk, I feel embarrassed that I think she's cute and I remember the "Cute girl is polite, man mistakes for flirting" trope and I just mind my own business, I rented a video I have no intention of watching just so I have a reason to go back and say hi again.

Return home and feel bad all day.
