Now I just had a mental image of Vector strategically removing her own body parts and replacing them with cybernetic prosthesis, thus becoming MechaVector and taking over the world.

That's a terrible super villain name.
They have to be punchy and instantly give you a key aspect of their personalities.
Calcu-Vector would be better here.
Either that or Calcu-Ector.

I'm the sort of person who tends to get compared to Renoir, Van Gogh, Marina Tsvetaeva, and Archimedes.

there's so much to live up to. those are some big fucking shoes to fill!!
Mind the size when it's full Vec. :P Every shoe was filled a bit at a time.
...
Unless you had a big shovel, then every shoe is quite overfilled and ruined by the weight.

Though come to think of it, I wonder who each one of our personalities and aspirations could be compared to..
I wonder if MSH had a test like that up.

You just need to make more Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.

Thinking about the ear thing reminded me about how Van Gogh  died, and then how he lived.  Do not imitate.  He was a catastrophic failure as a human being.  We only know who he is because rich gentry pay huge arbitrary prices for original art in order to show off to each other.  His life story was probably their version of a reality show.

I did? o_O
I was being serious. If you overaspire and focus too much on being like that person, you'd end up not being yourself in the end--though sharing distinct qualities similar to the shoes you fill. Granted, this is usually never the case due to everyone inherently being unique.

And everyone having their own size of shovel anyway.

I feel like I'm shoveling frantically, but the size of my shovel keeps changing and I don't know where the dirt is going.

False alarm, I guess, but that still looks suspiciously like a joke.

Tiruin does occasionally make light-hearted comments, even if they are usually serious advice. Have I mentioned Tir's great recently?

People tend to assume I'm some kind of genius because I have an incredible memory and the ability to quickly analyse problems. They're less helpful than they sound, though, and considering the trade-off seems to be the desire/ability to form and maintain meaningful frienships...

I'm told I'm smart.

Siiiince.... 1st grade. Then at around 7th grade I ended up falling behind in school stuff because fuck if I know. Got the whole "You could do better if applied yourself" talk.

Not that exciting :P
